Does health affect gib range?

i have seen the one shot range of the gnasher in a lot of videos, and it doesnt seem to be that far, and sometimes i will be really close to some1 and not get the gib on them, and then other times i get gibs or headshots from twice the distance.

Does health affect big range? If your full red will you get chunked from a farther distance than if you were at full health?

Yes, even headshot.

Yes. It does.

Like say you take some massive damage but then a digger explodes a bit farther away from you, that regular small amount of damage will gib you.

i think its mainly how messed up sponging is on this game u can gib someone with a gnasher 30 feet away then hit someone in the face with a boomshot and they shrug it off like nothing happened gotta love this game

if the people posting in this thread are accurate in what they are saying, then i am kind of pissed off. thats stupid to make the game work like that, i dont think gears 1 or 2 did it that way

Honestly gears of war 3 just has alot of sponging like check this out. I was in a match on sandbar i walk up the stairs. A guy switches from his lancer to his shotgun and downs me in one shot. Now theres no way he had an active reload because he had a lancer in his hand before he switched to his gnasher. Worse part is he wasnt even close to me. Im not sure if most of the sponging stops if you buy all of DLC's or what.

Well that is certainly interesting. Well maybe someone hit you with a Boltok simultaneously I would guess. But back to the topic at hand I think health does determine gib range. Don't quote me on this but I think if you take some damage the gib range on the Digger and Sawed off Shotgun get farther but I'm not too sure about it. I'm still trying to figure it out for myself lol.

LOL most of us feel like more of our shots sponge since we've gotten the dlc's. Really it's sadly just a fact on gears, no matter what you have downloaded. As for one shot downs, I hate those too, feel your pain.

Well, yes and it should.

If you're close to death because you've already been shot multiple times, an extra bullet's going to tear through, and thus gib, more flesh than if you're completely healthy.

Imagine if you're cutting a tree with an ax. The third cut is going to dig in deeper, and thus cause more damage to the tree, than the first.

Makes you extra prone to headshots too.
