DLC IDEA: Delta-One Map Pack! POLL ADDED!

This DLC is all about the most famous squad in the Gears of War Saga, Delta Squad. All of the maps would be about Marcus, Dom, Cole, Baird, and the other (former) members of Delta Squad (Anthony Carmine, Minh Young Kim, Benjamin Carmine, Tai Kaliso). The maps would be very different. As well as having a theme, there would be a large amount of fan-fare in it (read for surprises) Please read, rate, comment, and explain what you think!

BARGE
During Operation: Hollow Storm, the Locust took prisoners into Beast Barges, including former Delta Squad Member Tai Kaliso. Now, the two collided Beast Barges are a warzone between the COG and the Locust. This two-level map adds a brand new Power Weapon to the Versus Plate- the Cleaver. Upstairs, expect some rifle fire while inside the prison cells, get ready for some Shotgun Fights!
Power Weapons- Cleaver [2]{Located near Spawns}, Frag Grenades [2]{Located in the Prison Cell Areas}, Gorgon Pistol {Located at Crash Point Area}

MANSION
Fenix Manor was one of the largest and most premier homes on Sera. Before the Pendulum Wars, before Emergence Day, a young Marcus Fenix and Carlos and Dominic Santiago played inside. This is where two brothers met. When the Lambent Infection hit Ephyra, the whole Mansion was consumed by Lambent Stalks, now dead and decaying. This sends a very large problem when shooting at far range. During the match, Lambent Stalks will shoot out around you, sending out Polyps to ruin a Gear or Locust's Day.

NIGHTMARE *Spoilers Ahead(Map from Chaosweaver22)

S - Stone, WS - Weapon Spawn, RW - Rock Worm, T - Table/Terminal (Terminal is in Maria's area of the map), PC - Prison Chamber, R - Rubble, EC - Electric Chair, Filled in Box by EC - Button for EC, ST - Statue, CO - Couch, C - Chair
Nightmare is Marcus' Dream World. This is a very dark themed map that will give even the strongest man/woman a chill. First there is the "Fenix Estates (COG SPAWN at the tope of the middle set of stairs). This portion of the maps shows the home of Marcus and his father. This area has cracked foundations, crooked pictures of his family, and bits of the roof are missing due to brumak fire (ref. to Gears one). What makes this eerie is if you listen you hear faint voices of a woman saying "Good morning, Marcus" and Marcus yell, "DAD!" (as he did in the beginning of gears 3 campaign). Below that there is the corpse of the Rift Worm. In this area you can either enter or exit via the mouth, or the hole sawed into it during the gears 2 campaign. The worm will go down a ways and curve off the perimeter of the map [SPOILER] To the left of that is the fuel station (LOCUST SPAWN)where Dom committed suicide to save his squad mates. This area shows the rig he crashed into the tanker to kill all the enemies in the area (charred by fire of course). As you come near it you will hear a faint voice of marcus saying, "Dom...." Above the fuel station is the slab. The prison where Marcus was left to rot after being court marshaled. The Slab dons a few holding cells, and a room for an electric chair. That room can be entered, and there is a button that can be pressed to shock the skeleton in the chair. That leads to the hollow. The very area in which the Locust dwell. This tunnel will have two rockworms that cross the tunnel to provide cover...but they won't stay for long. Upon leaving the hollow, you will set gaze upon the Imulsion Station. The very building Delta squad came across in gears one. Above the Imulsion Facility is Maria's holding cells....setting foot near them will trigger the sound of Dom sobbing, and the sound of a boltok pistol firing.
Power Weapons- Boomshot [2] {Located at Mansion Spawn and Mercy Spawn} Boltok [2] {Located at Riftworm Area and Maria Area}, Torque Bow {Located at Imulsion Station Area}

OLD BONES
This Map, included in Gears of War, resembled the Tomb of the Unknowns, where Baird met Marcus and Dom whilst being attacked by a Berserker. The map returns just as it was, but now it is heavily raining, hurting visibility. Expect awesome Rifle Fights in the center with Shotgun Wars inside!

RIVER
River is a bridge crossing inside of the town Landown. Marcus, Dom, Cole, Baird, Ben, and Tai all helped with the assault on this town. However, an Imulsion Pipe has begun to leak, and halfway through the match, the pipe will explode, bringing a quick death to those down below. New Graphical Updates (One house would have a Lambent Stalk spurting out of it), Weapon Swaps (Boomshot->Digger;Longshot/Torque Bow->Longshot), and a nighttime setting makes this map just as awesome as before!

Character Skins [6]

• Classic Tai
• Farmer Dom (obtained through the 'Bearded Warriors' Achievement)
• Classic Hoffman (obtained through the 'Gotta Get Close' Achievement)
• Cyclops
• Skorge (obtained through the 'Remembrance' Achievement)
• Savage Interrogator- Basically a new Savage Model. It would be a Savage Grenadier w/out a Helmet, and Duel Shoulder Pads (see Savage Grenadier's Model) and then add a hollowed out skull for a mask. then, he has an apron with blood stains, strapped to his chest (to make hitbox easier)

Weapon Skins [5+]

• Halloween- Halloween Event Skin (Obtained through the 'Best Team Around' Achievement)
• Candy Cane- Gearsmas Event Skin (Obtained through the 'Remembrance' Achievement)
• Mint- Gearsmas Event Skin (Obtained through the 'Fortified Home' Achievement)
• Cupid- Valentine's Day Skin (Obtained through the 'Wake Up' Achievement)
• Raven Down*- Raven Down 24/7 Event Skin (Obtained through the 'Fan-Fare' Achievement)

*Raven Down Skin wouldn't be limited to the Gnasher, but on all other Starting Weapons (Lancer, Hammerburst, Retro Lancer, Sawed-Off Shotgun)

Mutators-
EASY-
Oiled- Your gun will never jam while in battle, so don't worry about missing an Active!

HARD-
Execution Rules- If you aren't close to an infantry enemy, they aren't going to die without firepower.

FUN-
Beards of War- A fancy beard, reminisce of Dom's, will now be put on every person (Lambent, Locust, COG)

Achievements [8]-

• Best Team Around- Complete 10 Waves of Horde on all 'Delta-One' Maps [unlocks Halloween Weapon Skin Set]
• Wake Up- Finish all Waves of Horde on 'Nightmare' [unlocks the Cupid Skin Set]
• Fortified Home- Complete all Waves of Horde on 'Mansion' [unlocks Mint Weapon Skin Set]
• Fan-Fare- Win 1 Match on 'Mansion', 'Old Bones', and 'River' (any mode) [unlocks the Raven Down Skin Set]
• Remembrance- Finish One Multiplayer Match as Classic Tai on 'Barge' [unlocks Skorge Multiplayer Skin]
• Bearded Warriors- Complete the 'Gears of War 3' Campaign using the 'Beards of War' Mutator [unlocks the Farmer Dom Multiplayer Skin]

I never had an issue with spawn trapping on River. My biggest issue is the over abundance of power weapons. Plus the new Ink grenade would be terrible on it because you couldn't have it do double-duty on the Mortar bridge. Out of all the maps in Gears 2, River is in my bottom 3 of maps that I'd want to see return.

-I hear you mentioning Lambent stalks for both Mansion and River. I think night time would suit these maps, but Lambent theme would get boring and Jacinto would no longer be unique
-You should note down in the OP the achievements are for 0G, as presumably EPIC aren't allowed any more achievements. Although Gears 3 and 3000G? Lol
-The achievements for completing campaign should just be for completing an act of campaign, an entire campaign run through for 1 (or 3) achievements seems a bit OTT

Nightmare sounds like quite a challenge to make aswell as play i believe i would prefer it if epic just did a dlc which brought back the most favoured gears 1 and 2 maps as well as the skins you mentioned and for a weapon skin gold (gow 2 style)

This literally sounds incredible. I pay freakin 1600 msps! But nightmare sounds and looks too big. Plus if it's gonna be the same basic backround as in the game, it couldn't happen. It woul be WAY too hard render

I could make 2 of them Horde Based, will get back to you on that.

Well, Nightmare wouldn't be a challenge too much. Look at the effort inside of Forces of Nature. This DLC has only 2 New Maps (Barge and Nightmare) The only thing that may be different about Nightmare is that it would be the yellow-orange look. If they couldn't do that or the voice overs, that'd still be an awesome map!

I guess you could have the achievements tied to a run of campaign, it just seems a bit meh that you run through entire campaign and get 3 achievements, 3 unlocks but 0G. It's your thread though, so just leave it at that if you want

I may make the Farmer Dom skin for Campaign, but have Classic Hoffman and the next event Weapon Skin be based on Horde and the Mutators.

So far this is the best Dlc idea I have seen on the forum but I have some minor complaints
1. Make the characters unlocks like Farmer Dom, Classic Hoffman, Skorge and Cyclops base on previous GOW 1,2,3 achievements
2. The interogettor Done needs a better name like the Executioner or something along that line
3. why didn't you include Classic Sniper with Glowing eyes ,Classic Beast riders or Savage sniper
4. Whats the point of having 0GS achievements

Overall I hope Epic make this Dlc but with out the achievements because there's no point. The Mutators sounds interesting and for skins I would like some unquie ones not the ones we use on special days of year

Because it is easier to do. Look at the Flaming Retro Lancer. If it would have been an achievement, it would have been easier and there would have been less glitches
