    Angry CONNECTION LOST on IB1

    This is a really old and well known problem, I'm talking about the issue when trying to play "arena multiplayer", usually the first match loads without problems, but when going to the second match (when changing from titan to warrior) the screen blacks out and after 10-20 seconds it shows the CONNECTION LOST message.

    I want to revive this discussion, because with all these news about IB2 and clash mobs and all that stuff it looks like that Epic is gonna leave this issue pass away... I think that they should fix it. Personally I still play IB1 (I stopped playing IB2 when I lost my saved game because of the bug...), and honestly I like the versus style fight more than the cooperative style they're doing with that "clash mobs", Epic shouldn't just look away from problems... because a lot of people are still playing IB1 online and we want a FUNCTIONAL game, we paid for it. It's really so hard to fix such a stupid issue? It's a shame.

    Epic shouldn't give such a bad image with things like these.

    Well I think part of the reason they opted for 'clash mobs' in IB2 was because it doesn't require such a straining connection. having that kind of connection isn't easy. (even though games like MC3 have done it.)

    So yes, it does suck. But I doubt it will be fixed. It's definately possible though!

    Why don't you give IB2 another shot? its a great game made by a great team of people, my favorite game on iOS. until IB3, of course

    I do not agree with you, I don't think that IB1 multiplayer needs such a fast connection, if you think about it the multiplayer of this game is some kind of turns style, you hit and the other one protects/dodge, and even no movement of characters. This issue has nothing to do with the speed or requirements of the connection, it's just a bug due to bad programming, because it disconnects while trying to start a new match, not while playing.

    Anyways, harder or easier to fix, Epic/Chair should have given some explanation to users, like "ok, we are aware of the problem" or "we're working on the multiplayer issue", or even "hey guys, we're not going to solve the issue because we are on IB2", they should have said SOMETHING. If I had to pay for clash mobs I totally wouldn't buy it, at least before reading comments about its performance, I do not trust chair anymore (multiplayer bugs not solved, data loss bug not solved, etc...).

    Well, I'm pretty sure there are more bugs, of course, I also got disconnected some times while playing. But the bug that I'm talking about on this post is the connection lost when rematching, it's a bug that almost every user is experiencing (as far as I know) and that bug has nothing to do with connection speed but bad programming.

    Yeah, chair is a totally carried away team. If they are interested in smth they go there and don't look back at all... Maybe that's why we have such great games, who knows?

    Well, you know what, when a game is so buggy that disconnects in almost every online match (IB1), when a game is so buggy that they realease a patch and the characters look like shiny overlighted suns (IB1), when a game is so buggy that they release a patch and the framerate drops down to the unplayable (IB1), when a game is so buggy that it crashes to desktop in the intro (IB2), when a game is so buggy that erase all my save games even with different patches installed (IB2)... when a game is SO buggy, and when its developers just look away, for me it stops being a great game and turns into crap.     Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be rude at you guys, I'm just really upset with the way that epic/chair doesn't care about these bugs and they just release new games to get more money, instead of fixing critical bugs of games we BOUGHT. We shouldn't be so tolerant with these kind of things, it's our money spent.

    No, it has not been solved, I have lost my save game with the lastest version (no jailbreak and lastest ios too), as well as a friend of mine, and several users here in this forum, and in the appstore reviews.

    No, it was not solved, at least not for everybody, my save game was deleted with 1.0.2, and my friend also lost his game, and a lot of people with 1.0.2 are also losing their save games, so yes, the issue persist... anyway this post is focused on the multiplayer bug of IB1.

    But well, I think that opening this post and reading the answers that I'm getting from users has helped me to realize why recently so many iOS games are so buggy, it's just because users are really accommodating and tend to defend companies more than themselves, some kind of sheep-like behaviour and fanboyism, excusing bugs and making concessions to the couldn't-care-less attitude, it's like "well, I can't play online, but hey, nice graphics!" or "I lost my save game, but hey, Infinity Blade 3 is coming!", definitively we have what we deserve. If companies sell buggy games, and we just buy them and do not complain they will continue releasing buggy games forever, as I said, we have what we deserve.

    It sounds like you've got a real solution... Which is it? Not to buy the game and stop playing? Or what, create "chair opposition" and make a public protest? What "non-sheep behavior" exactly do you suggest? A "ranting revolutionary" model? What?

    Smasher, there are many different people in here. Some like the game as is, some hate it, some do smth useful, some just ranting and crying. Don't generalize.

    I asked you a direct question: what kind of "demanding" or "non-sheep" behavior do you mean? Cause if it's something rational and helpful we could try it too

    PS Sorry, but some are angry cause we saw many just "ranting revolutionaries" who do nothing helpful but railing at chair and the game... It's even worse than being a sheep

    Despite the bugs, IB & IB2 are still my favorite iOS games. Myself and others here on the forum have voiced our concerns about these bugs on many occasions? What have you done? And what else would you have us do, almighty leader of the ChAIR bug revolution?

    What should I do? What should we do? Are you dumb or something? I'm not working for Chair, I'm not the one who has to fix bugs, I PAID my money for a game, and their duty is to give us a working game, or at least take care and listen to their customers complaints. How old are you? 15? oh my god, this is infuriating, when a game is so bugged what we have to do is to contact their support, complain in the forums, give bad ratings, etc., in short; show some PERSONALITY. And at the end, if they continue ignoring their customers, what we have to do as costumers is to stop buying their games, as simple as that. This point is so obvious that discussing about it is just ridiculous, and I can only understand your way of acting with 3 posibilities: you work for epic/chair or have relatives who do, you are fanboys, or you are children. Don't forget that I'm a customer LIKE YOU, who just wants his games working, you and people with the same attitude as you are reinforcing companies to ignore their costumers and to release near untested games. Shameful.

    Sorry, but that's just what I see in your answer: a child, who spent the whole 7 bucks!!! WOW, it's a great money! Everyone must die now to entertain you. Cmon! It's even less than go drink coffee in Starbucks!

    As for what to do, it's your choice. I've seen nothing new in your suggestions, almost all of it was done already, read the forum. Yes, chair does it very slowly and some things are hard to understand (content updates before bug fix e.g.), but they do smth, they react, see and listen. They continue to surprise ppl with nice games, and this is the main thing. My guess is that they carried away with creativity and new projects and as a young creative team they have some problems with priorities and project mgmt. But it'll go by, I'm sure.

    It's not about the amount of money but the refusal to have anything to do with the matter, and being treated like if we were stupid. My annoyance would be exactly the same if I had paid 1 dollar or 7 or 50, and by the way, I pay in euros because I'm european

    Well, formally they don't refuse, they collect bug reports, promise that they'll work it out, give some feedback and still make some updates. I do agree that it's very slow, and not everything fixed. Yes, they don't tell us why they didn't fix this or that remaining bug. But I don't think they treat us stupid. What I see - are typical problems of a young creative team. And I'm sure they are trying hard.

    And amount of money counts
    The old marketing principle "customer is always right" has long been updated: "but within a bill payed".

    I think that the value we get for these 7 bucks (or 5.27 euro) is a way much more than you can get elsewhere (not only in Starbucks)

    What makes it live? It's AppStore system, which allowed a dramatic price drop for customer and income increase for developer. At least they don't speak like H.Ford in the situation like this: "you can choose the car of any color, if this color is black" (c)

    It may end quickly if there will be any competition. And we saw some attempts, but no one came even close to the chair quality mark.

    @Silver I can't totally agree with you; yes, the game is great, with great graphics and all; you can really say that there is mobile gaming before and after "Infinity Blade" BUT their QA is horrible and the way they handle BUGS is ridiculous, not professional at all (here's me starting to troll!!!) yes, I'm trolling because they deserve it! IB1 has bugs, IB2? tons of bugs!!! I can accept bugs where GK hits you and nothing happens or some parry or slash that fails, etc but the "604 bug in NG+" and "141 rebirth bug in OG" are NOT ACCEPTABLE and that's why I will always trash at them ... ya know, it takes one bad thing you do to screw with your reputation in most cases in life; I said this before, the IB2 launch was a fiasco with the save game problem and they released a fix 2 days after so WHY CAN'T THEY FIX these 2 really serious BUGS? what are they waiting for? to quote someone you know, there must be some FIRING on that company!!!

    The reasoning that you're doing is not valid. The amount of money can't justify their incompetence, and if they need more money to give us a free bug decent game, then they should just charge more money for their games.
