Do you like the Boomshot?

Do you think it's a fun weapon to use?

Personally, I don't even pick it up anymore. In my opinion, it's cheap, and it's not very fun to use. It's too easy to get kills with, or something like that.

I'd much rather have a Longshot or Torque Bow, as those require precision aiming.

Also, I hate explosive weaponry. It's just annoying to see, hear, or be killed by, and in this game, it's very inconsistent.

lol yes its not fun to me , heck i don't even aim it anymore i blind fire it on the ground for huge splash damage.

I hate all the weapons that really heavily influence the outcome of the game. Just because your team gets the boomshot shouldn't mean you automatically win and get 3 plus kills. People camp it like crazy.
It ruins the game for me. It takes no skill. When I play ranked I pick maps without boom every time. Its so aggravating.

I like it for insane horde runs, but pretty much only use it if we are about to get over-run. I would say I rarely use it, but I'll grab one and hold on to it as a just-in-case.

I don't exactly mind the boomshot, I mind the person that can only use it the whole game to get kills. Seriously? That drives me nuts when you see so and so killed so and so with the boomshot, with the SAME SO AND SO using it the whole damn game.

Hammer needs to be added on many more maps
retro needs a power reduction, stopping power reduction and distance dropoff damage

no doubt about it, they need to reduce the ammo to 2 and put a spawn limit on it or remove it from a good amount of the maps.

all i know is mercy became instantly great when the boom shot was removed and weapons switched around. Either way i doubt it, epic has a fetish for that stupid crutch weapon. Already know the new map pack has boom shots on at least 2 if not three maps.

If you don't pick it up and the other team gets it, it won't be good news, in warzone or execution, game over but you might get lucky. No its not fun but its a necessity to remain dominant and this weapon allows that. Longshot is a fun pickup weapon, lobotomizer lol.

I think the Boltoks on Mercy are out of place... they kind of rule the map.

I like them only because it gives a fighting chance when teams want to play king of the hill without the ring ya know.Think smoke grenades and a little team work can get someone who's posted up in boltok.

Best power weapon. Love using it, and the hail mary ribbon is a great addition. Every victim of my hail mary will get the traditonal "you got owned blud" msg.

When you compare boom to torque, digger & longshot, its very easy to use, but so what?

I will always rush it when its on the map, so the opposing team don't get it, but that's the point of gears no?
Unlike other games that also use playlists like TDM DM etc. where you spawn with your choice of weapons and start gallivanting around or camping the whole match, in Gears you have to control the map and sometimes, the boom also...

Personally I don't think any kill is cheap,
If its in the game, then blame the game, ignoring a weapon so as to avoid some kind of criticism from your peers is silly, ofc you also end up hurting your team.
I see it all to often, 4 rushing longshot on Gridlock... pfff.

2 shots for boom? nah its fine imo.

Don't see the problem with it if I rush for it and kill my opponent who also rushes for it whose to say I shouldn't use it? It's not like you spawn with it.

The shot is too strong for the reloading time it has, plus you barley have to aim.
It's actually faster to use than the sawed off...
that's just my opinion though.
