Converting simple BSPs to Static Meshes
Recently I tried converting a BSP brush to a Static mesh and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't appear in the level. I watched a couple of tutorials to see what I was doing wrong and couldn't see anything.
I then noticed that the actual shapes were loading into the level, they were just very far away from their origin.
It seems that when I convert a BSP to mesh, the position of the BSP relative to map origin (0,0,0) becomes the position of the mesh relative to its individual origin. Do you have to convert BSPs to Meshes directly on the origin point to avoid this? The simple tutorials I watched didn't have the issue at all.
