So I've just finished grinding for my Embry Star, and it looks awesome. Now the question I'm faced with is do I settle for my Embry or earn another 35 Onyx Medals and achieve Seriously 3.0. I plan to be with this game right the way through until the next game and I have a lot of spare time. I could get Seriously 3.0, but it's the question of whether I'm really that bothered. Anyone who has Seriously 3.0 it would be much appreciated if you could comment on this thread about whether it was worth your time or whether you regret the sheer hours you put into the game grinding medals. I would like to earn every achievement in this game but hey I can live without it.
I currently have:
-30 Onyx Medals (obviously)
-16 Gold
-13 Silver
-6 Bronze
-All my game mode medals are halfway to Gold (except Warzone which is on ~1200)
-I have all Gold starter weapon kills except Gnasher which is Onyx (3 times...)
-I've totally Onyxed Beast
-About halfway to Onyxing Horde
-Probably about a quarter of the way to Onyxing Campaign...
-Finished all Insane

If you want to burn out these Onyx medals in less than a year, then yes settle for th Embry Star.
However, if you know it's going to take around 2 years (1 year 7 months to go) to get 3.0, than go for it.

To get seriously 3.0, do you really want to play thousands of each game type and waste hundreds of hours of YOUR time getting something in a game that means nothing more than a loaf of stale bread?

You should settle with whatever makes you happy and lets you still enjoy the game.

You have the spare time, go for it. Horde and campaign are easy to onyx as well imo. Don't regret not going after it a year or two from now.

Just enjoy the game. Later, if not having 100% completion bothers you, then grind it out.
Or if they announce that you get something in the next Gears game for getting 3.0.Professor Cannabis, PHD.

it depends when you want to get 3.0, if so then go for it but if you happy getting embry star then go for it. it what you want and happy with, that what counts

It's really up to you bro. I just got my embry star on leap day and working towards 3.0. My OCD won't let me stop. LoL By my calculation, I should have it sometime in late 2013. As long as the world doesn't end this year. (12.21.12 ;-P)

I'm going for my embry star. As for seriously, you got to be really sad to boost for hours on end to get this. Epic messed up with the medal requirements im afraid. Sorry epic.
