There are plenty websites with free sounds like that, and also sound FX you can buy for a few $ , search and you shall find...
Just take a microphone and a laptop and record the sound. I can picture that a dragging stone sound would be well done by dragging a brick across concrete. Get one of those bricks that has the 3 holes in it (this type will project more sound). Place the microphone just above the brick and drag it all the way across under the microphone. I would try on both super smooth concrete, and also try on the concrete that has brush marks in it for traction. One of these should give you the sound you need.
hmm now that is good. but it also captures some of the background sounds because i tried to record myself. but still i'l give it a try again.
Background sounds like birds, cars and people ? If so go somewhere quieter, but also you could use a larger brick like a cinder block and a brick. Then use the smooth side of the cinder block instead of concrete. Then you could do it in a quiet room or closet.
well yea that would work too... i just started recorded the sounds with my laptop recorder and then removed the noise from it![]()
