Default Animation not playing properly in the animset.

When I import a Skeletal mesh and animation to the UDK. I managed to make it use the base male anim set. and play the FBX´s animation in a new animset.

However when I add the FBX animation to the base male animset, the meshes(either the imported or the ones included in UDK) do not follow the animation. tehy just stand as if not rigged.

The progress bar in the botton, slides as if the animation is being played. There is no error message.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you for your time.

what 3d package are you using to create animations in? I know in 3DS Max, I usually have to collapse my animations before exporting or they will not turn out.

I don´t know what you mean by this questions(I am a first timer at this)

I just go to the menu click, Export and export as a FBX.

I am just trying to follow the steps on the UDN

I tried following your instructions, but When I try to import it in UDK I get a "failed to parse" message.

    any idea what is wrong?

This is a quote from MattK at Epic Games..........He's a super moderator on these forums,
" The "Failed to parse" message appears when the FBX file cannot be read. Either it is corrupt or the file version is not supported. See if there are any additional messages in the log window. "

This is the thread it was in!

Download the fbx free converter from Autodesk and see if that can open it here
