Horde Freezing on Wave Completed!!!

Another Freeze,

My Red 49 has all my beta guns and gold guns just waisting away, never to see online horde again.
I wish there was a way to move them to my new account?

Is there any way I can do that?

I looked into that and that is for licensed content from one xbox to another, I'm actually on the same xbox, I just don't think I can move things that are tied to one gamertag to another since they involved achievements made by the first gamertag. The good news is I get to use the DLC's and the Gun skins ultimate pack I bought, just not the skins I earned through the first gamertag.

It truly is not that important but it's more of a shame, If I thought a Rank Reset would help solve the freeze problem I would have done that but it looks like the corruption for the freeze goes deeper than that with people that have had a reset are still freezing in their horde.

I feel we are so close to figure out what is the root of the problem, it just take someone from epic to look into it.

Had a freeze saturday night while attempting a run at some high scores. I was not host, playing on Gears console wirelessly, map was Anvil. 3 hard mutators, we lost a player after wave 14 and paused to look for a replacement to continue the run, I froze looking at my list of Gears friends online. We were in between waves, if that is relevant.

Finding it very disheartening that high score attempt seems moot with the constant freezing. PM me for any info I have not included if necessary.

after the freeze and my save data got reset i cannot unlock the "for the horde" medal. i got a long hauler ribbon but no medal. this means that i cannot unlock the laugh-track mutator and the "seriously 3.0" achievement. can this be fixed?
i think the friendly fire mutator is also locked for ever if this happens because it is linked to an achievement i already got.

unfortunately there is some medals you won't be able to unlock after a reset.
Also count it as a blessing! 3.0 is a waste of life! I actually wasted a lot of time going after the 3.0 cheev and I am sort of thankful I was forced to end the madness!

Not host but playing with host I used to freeze a lot with.
Well we were failing wave 49 many times which was cool with me since I was working on my combat engineer ribbons and BAM I froze!
I am really hoping this is a one shot deal.
I do have my data backed up before this game so I can go back to it if needed.

But seriously if I start to freeze with this new account I'm done!
I will play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer!

Another friend got reset to a Rank of 1 right after a Horde wave freeze on 5 tonight!!
He had no backup either.

Froze last night and couldn't even return to the dashboard when I opened the disk tray. Very annoying for this to happen. I got back online and the entire party was returning to xbox live because they all froze as well!

Froze just after wave completed summary screen. As soon as the sound effect goes off for a new wave countdown, my game froze.

Full party lobby, but not host.
Map: Gridlock
Wave: Transition between wave 20 completed and new wave 21.

5th time this week, but I recall the specifics of this one. Doesn't seem to matter if I am host or not, I still freeze while hosting. I will play several games this weekend and keep track of each game. I'll post results on Monday.

some of us (I host a group) are dedicated insane horders, and are daily trying to reach the top 100 on the leaderboards, or post scores of 1,000,000. It is increasingly difficult to do this when almost every higher wave run results in a freeze between 30 and 50. It is not so easy to get to those waves playing insane with 3 hard mutators, and it takes several hours to get there; once you are there you have the very real likelihood of a freeze. And many of us experience it near daily. Come on EPIC, we are some of your most loyal player, please return the loyalty and fix the problem!

and remember I do have my XBL file if you need it because The Freeze issue seems to come from the personal game save file and/or campaign saved file.
This was proven when I opened up a new account and have had only 2 Freezes after long periods of play.
Other than that the new account has been perfect and if I switch to my old XBL gamertag it will freeze in a heartbeat.

Others have mentioned after every horde run to log out properly and then turn off your xbox for a clean reboot.

Before EVERY Horde match, I go to: Settings>System>Storage>Hard Drive>Games and Apps>Gears of War 3>Player Data Saved Game file and DELETE it. You do not lose and Stats, Medals, Achievements or anything when doing this, it is a small temp file that Gears writes to after games or waves?

I have not frozen since I started doing this like 2 weeks ago. It is a small file that Gears writes to when saving after Waves or Boss Waves that gets corrupt when it is overwriting? If I forget to do this when hosting an Insane Horde match I will almost always freeze in the 40's waves.

This temporary fix has been working without fail for the last two or three weeks.

Insane run with the "Insane Horde Group" yesterday,map was Hotel,just finished wave 30,was not host.This was exactly what happened to me when my reset occured on New Years.Scared the **** out of me yesterday to say the least.Only this time I had character control ,nothing else though.

My xbox froze and had to turn it off and on again from the mains power but no other players did
As the last time this happened i got reset to 1 so this time as soon as i turned my xbox i deleted the gears 3 data file from my hard drive
and then booted up gears and all looked ok

Well it states on the box, fair gameplay on dedicated servers, yet you have to buy dlc to join a dedicated server now, that falls under false advertisment which is a big no no

mine does this too- and i got rank reset as a result- but had a backup unknowingly. I have the gears of war 3 xbox 360 and experience the same issues. you guys are NOT alone. I dont even play horde anymore cuz i dont want to get reset again.

There are 2 different bugs on this freezing issue.Host freezing, this happen always at the end of the wave before 30 sec countdown.And the player freeze which happens at anytime.Hope this issue gets fixed soon.Freezing on wave 49 to 50 is crazy!

I have been having the same problem with the screenfreeze Thunder old son, not only on Horde but Beast as well.
It hasn't happend as much on Beast, but it does happen.
I won't even play Horde now, screenfreeze means I lose money, long hauler ribbons, possible reset, oh and I get to play as Marcus (again) whoopee doo!!!!

I have read somewhere on here that if you delete your data file from your hard drive before you start up gears
so it loads a new file of the servers the freeze issue seems to lessen but thats just a guess at the moment

hmmm... i've been hearing that gears doesnt have a proper corrupt file check. you've been rank reset before, correct? that would mean the game loaded your corrupt file, and thats causing issues. deleting from your harddrive wouldnt help any because it saved the corrupt file on the servers as well.

an interesting thing to try, if youre willing to reset yourself, is to delete your saved data, and play offline. that way you create a new save file that isnt corrupt. hopefully when you sign onto xbox live, it'll save this new, non-corrupt file onto the servers as well and fix everything

Yesterday I've playd at insane from wave 25 through 50 and got frozen at second attempt to beat the last wave, so I joined again the match after rebooting and passed last wave, but no medal achieved, even though I'd had performed the first 24 the day before, my mates got the medal and I didn't so I have to play again 25 waves?!!?!?

and I've lost also the XBL achievement for all fortifications at last level, so apologyzing for this bug after six months is there, it's not enough.
Further, I've had showed up to almost 20 events, now I'm at 3 again...

Actually there must be faster reaction and I'm sure there's some better workaround, then scratching stats to people, when file got corrupted!

I'm fan of Gears since first episode, I've bought twice the XBox 360 for this game, I'm playing hours and hours, even though I've some other title parked there.

Please make a backup as i nearly lost everything the 1st time i froze and got reset but luckily got it back by deleting gamer tag

I have been reset many times after that and have lost quite a few ranks but my backup has got me back to my last save

If you freeze ejecting your disc helps also as pointed out by Irish so no stats get updated

I still freeze nearly twice a day but just cant be bothered to post anymore as its always at the beginning or end of a wave but it hurts
so damn much when you are so far in the horde game looking to post a hugh score and it freezes
