FINAL DLC 5 - Locust Characters, MP related

I would like to keep this thread alive!

People have been asking for a Season Pass 2. I think that wouldn't be a very good idea, because of the following reasons;
1) Some people who bought the Season pass were not happy with its content, therefore wouldn't buy a 2nd season pass
2) There will be no achievements for the 2nd season pass, since Gears 3 will stop at 2000 GS. Maybe another game will take it to 2500, maybe it'll happen on the next gen Xbox, but Gears will definitely stop at 2000.
3) EPIC might just not have time to make so much DLC for a 2nd season pass. They have to fix the current issues as well, and they might want to start a new project.
That's why I think that one final DLC will be better.

What will be in this DLC?
-4 new Locust characters
Let's be realistic, EPIC won't put more than 4 characters in one DLC, even if it's the final DLC.
-3/4 New Maps
-No Achievements
Maybe 2-3 achievements worth 0 points, but these aren't necessarily.

1 of these 2, or none of these.
-Beast content
-Campaign content

-NO Horde content
DLC 1 was Horde related

The final DLC will be centered around Multiplayer maps and the new Locust characters. Let's be realistic people, the COG doesn't need any more characters. The Locust definitely lack the choice of characters. The characters will be: Skorge, Cyclops, Bolter and Troika Gunner.
I know there are many more Locust that could be implented, like Grappler, Masked Sniper, Masked Drone, even Armored Kantus. But I choose these 4 characters because of the following reasons;

Skorge



People have wanted him since the release of Gears 3. He was the final boss of Gears 2 and was even the leader in Guardian. Lots of people played as him in Gears 2. But this time, we want Skorge in his full battle armor! Hitbox issues? Theron has a bigger hitbox. And look at the picture, comparing Kantus and Skorge in battle armor. They don't differ so much in size, do they? Make it happen EPIC!

Cyclops



People have wanted this Drone variant for a long time as well. He was even in Gears 3 art (Picture ^^^) Yes, Cyclops is just a Drone variant, but a lot of people loved him in Gears 2 and really want him back. There is no reason to exclude him.

Bolter



This guy has just been running around in Horde in Gears 2 and 3, without ever been playable in MP. He was cut off MP for unknown reasons. Here is a video showing the Bolter being playable ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIupKneJqZ8 , 3;30) I couldn't believe it when I saw that he wasn't playable in Gears 2 MP in the final product. A lot of people say that the Bolter is 'Just a Drone variant'. Look at the armor differences. He has shoulderpads, different body armor, gear on his arm and a badass helmet. This Locust should be in Gears 3 MP!

Troika Gunner



This has been my favorite Locust since Gears 1. I was disappointed when I found out that he wasn't playable in the MP, and even more disappointed when I found out he wasn't playable in 2 either. 'The Troika Gunner is just a Drone variant'. No, the Troika Gunner is not at all. As you can see in the bottom left picture, everything from the Troika Gunner is different from the regular Drone. He has lots of armor and a very awesome helmet. Again, make it happen EPIC!

I personally don't care what the new maps would be, that is for EPIC to decide. But I'd love to see Mausoleum return. Otherwise just new maps.

Beast Content

If Beast content is added, it will most likely be adding new Locust characters. I feel like these wouldn't be necessarily, but people have been waiting on Beast related DLC for a long time.

OR

Campaign Content

I really doubt this is going to happen, since EPIC probably wouldn't have time to do this and there are no achievements to be earned. If campaign content is added, it should be the same sort of campaign DLC like RAAM's shadow, but this time about Skorge. The story is for EPIC to decide. I feel like these wouldn't be necessarily either, but people have been asking about more campaign DLC lately.

Just read the whole thing, and I really miss a poll option. I DO want the DLC to include Horde content. You argue that it shouldn't because DLC 1 had Horde content, but every DLC package included multiplayer content, and you still request more. This is logical, you might say, because multiplayer is a very popular mode. However, Horde is far more popular than Beast, so that alone should warrant more DLC for Horde mode. Just like a lot of players like Gears for the campaign, there has been campaign DLC and still you want more. Too bad it's useless now to edit the poll since all voters up to this moment haven't had a chance to vote for more horde content.

I wouldn't buy a second season pass, not because I don't like Gears, but because I don't think the content of the first Season Pass was worth the amount of money. It would have been perfect for the discounted amount (at new year) but not for the price we paid on day 1.

Just to show you why I think this:

Horde Command Pack:
The new maps were cool and all, but 3 of the 5 maps were available through the free Booster pack, so people who didn't pay for them could play om them as well. So essentially we got 2 new maps, the rights to play co-op modes on all maps, a skin (bernie) that should have been unlocked in the main game to begin with, same with Onyx Guard, and an ugly skin being Big Rig Dizzy that I never see someone use.

There were 1 or 2 weapon skins. Never used them...

My girlfriend didn't really like this DLC pack because she doesn't even have the Horde fortifications fully upgraded, so she can't even use the content she paid for.

For the Horde fortifications we got Silverback rockets which also should have been available to begin with, Command Centers that don't do as much damage as they should, Auto Turrets that are still too weak and the Onyx Guard Decoy which should follow you around instead of run around like a maniac, and should also be re-buyable.

RAAM's Shadow:
Cool Campaign story, but it was short. Locust parts were repetitive. I wished RAAM, the Theron Elite and Onyx Maulers were available Beasts from then on, but they weren't so if you played that story you were kind of done with it.. Not much replay value apart from getting the achievements. You also got some character skins, at least they were original, I did like those.

Fenix Rising:
Re-upping was a fun addition, but I know that EPIC wanted to put this in before launch, but couldn't, because they didn't have enough time. So again they give us things we were supposed to have. LE characters are given in this DLC, which plain sucked. I already had Savage Kantus and Cole Train so I didn't want LE skins. I didn't care about the weapon skins. I do like the maps though.

Forces of Nature:
Again, recycled character skins I couldn't give less for, tons of weapon skins I won't use, and all this pack will be about is the maps and Guardian for me. While I love the fact that Guardian will be coming back, I still think there could have been more in this pack to end the Season Pass with a bang.

That's your opinion, I wouldn't like more Horde DLC. This isn't a community poll to see what people would like, this is based around my ideas.

I would be happy with the following.

A DLC of no more than 5 maps, all flashback maps, nothing new. ( I think this will happen)
Another big weapon skin rollout , just like the initial release ( I actually think they are planning on doing this based upon all the leaked videos of weapon skins that are not in DLC4)
One last Character MP Skin Pack ( made up of just Gears 2 character skins, both COG & Locust, that did not make it in yet).

Everything I just listed , would be relatively easy to put together, as most of the hard work was already done, or already exists, plus none of it needs achievements..

Rod has already said that they have pretty much exhausted the Horde fortification upgrade ideas. Maps can be used in Horde.

Totally agree with all this thread. I can't beleive Bolter were originally playable for Gears 2 but were cut for unknown reasons? I think EPIC should include Bolter into Gears 3 Multiplayer to make up for this loss. Also I really hope (and I think alot of people will agree) that Skorge and Cyclops get added to multiplayer as there is alot of high demand for there return.

I would buy a second season pass if it had more campaign, Horde and beast content. If it was a stream of map packs i'd probably prefer to look at each one individually since there is a lot of maps now.

Couldnt agree with this more. Ive been waiting for another thread on more characters. Skorge, Cyclops, Bolter and Troika Gunner are the most demanded characters. EPIC stated that the next DLC will be because of player demand and like I said them 4 are the ONLY Locust that are demanded. Also on MP characters, the Thrashball Drone was only playable for limited time but on Twitter it is seen by Quinn DelHoyo... Saying the Thrashball Drone COULD be back. So when he says could... That means that they are probably saving him for future DLC right? Why would the make a full character and only have him playable for 10 days? It just doesnt seem right. Anyway bring back Skorge and Cyclops then im happy but Botler and Troika Gunner are an added bonus!

I think there's really only so many variations you can do of the same Locust drone/grenadier models but these guys are the classics.

2 things I want.

Beast Mode content, because it seems like it was chucked in and then forgotten about.
And more Locust skins, because most are just LE versions and there's still like 1.5 COG for every Locust.

I see you mentioned Masuleum. That map might work really well for Guardian. Also, I wonder what kind of heavy weapons placement would do to that map just out of curiosity. Like a Oneshot or Mulcher where the longshot is or a Mortar where torque it.

-all missed out character skins Skorge, Cyclops, original Theron skins plus ones that were in the games/comics/books Elite Palace Guard, Troika Drone, Alex Brand, Bai Tak, Michaelson, Trescu, Carlos Santiago, the Rojas bros, Franklyn Fo shiz!!!, I could go on but I don't think anyone would read it

Beast
-New characters for beast maybe even a lambent beast mode or one that coincides somehow but characters for original beast would be Raam, Skorge, Reaver, Brumak these 4 would have to be on a new row entirely and have to take a bit of saving $ for.

Campaign
-New campaign storyline, I'm thinking something along the lines of either Something to do with the Pendulum wars, 1 min A.E, Explaining why the queen looks human (it's a long shot and I doubt we'll ever find out), Why Skorge was the queens right hand body guard cos I'm sure there not just born and then told "your protecting the queen" "oh ok...", even something simple as what the **** Dizzy was doing while everyone was fighting (I'll look after the truck, I'll fix the sub, I'll drive the sub, Here we are azura well good luck I'm gonna hide in the sub underwater...) and off the top of my head Griffins story might not be so bad.

I'm pretty sure Horde can't be expanded anymore... more medals/ribbons? Asking for too much? Yeah thought so

Well there are locust missing in this game and this game is suppose to have every character right. I'm sure there will be more content. Because Gears 2 got a lot of maps that were made for that game. And Fuel Depot, Canals, Process, Old Bones are Gears 1 maps a lot of people love and will be disappointed if none of these maps make it to the game especially Canals. Because so people consider that map as a great snipe battle map in the middle. And i would like to see either a Skorge campaign that would be epic or even new maps and new locust character's
