    Default changing the speed of your mobile player pawn

    my characters based off of the jazz tutorial but i cant for the life of me figure out whats controling the speed. Ive tryed changing ever float they have hooked up to the controls but nothing...
    is the speed in a script somewhere? if so anyone know where at? and how to change it with kismet. thanks, chad.

    There is a movement speed variable in kismet waiting for modification...

    yeah i tryed changing the movement speed varable even in the jazz demo and it doesn't speed him up for me. not sure why...

    Close the editor.

    Go to: UDK -> Development -> src -> UDKGame -> MobilePlaceablePawn.uc

    Find and change GroundSpeed=440 to a number you want and save. Open the editor and say yes when it asks to compile scripts.



    -- Oops! I was going off memory. It's GroundSpeed, not MovementSpeed.

    I think it's GroundSpeed you're looking for in the script? Also, once you know a properties name from the script, you can modify it dynamically in kismet using a modify property node

    (Hourences passed this gem along to me last night, the dude's a legend!)
