Here is the summery fo "On The Beat:"

Succumbing to a brief hiatus, the Gears sit back and listen to Sergeant Lucius Jacquin's stories about his previous occupation as peace officer in one of the most notorious red light districts in Tyrus. Despite waging war against the genocidal Locust horde, Lucius reveals a side of humanity that seems to beg to question what about humanity is worth saving...in the process, Lucius himself has to make a decision what is it that he finds worth fighting for.

You can do a summary of "Survive" if you like. Although it doesn't have to be a summary exactly, it can be more of an intro, just something that gives readers an idea of what to expect from your story. Think of it as an opportunity to "sell" your story to a skeptical public.

You might also like to add the "recommended further reading" bit at the end. Basically it goes something like this...

Hi, if you enjoyed this story then perhaps you'd like to try these...

Stories by the same author

(List of up to five, though three sounds about right, of your own completed stories)

Similar stories by varied authors

(Again, around three stories in a similar vein. Yours was established characters, like Marcus, Dom etc. So I'd recommend you link stories like Jonesy's Snowblind and Cros' Bernie short.)

Locust Fictions by other authors could be George the Drone and Blood Hungry, I wonder if I might include Seducing the Ogress as well, since that's technically part of my lore as well. xD

Yeah Jay, a link to the Codex is a good idea for you. Possibly the same for Jonesy with the The Anetha Manuscripts as that's an index too. And you're not limited to only including shorts either. It's like, the readers have finished a story and if they've committed to that and enjoyed it, then it's likely they might be ready for something more substantial.

And yeah, don't forget to include the stories by other authors too. After all, shameless self promotion is counterproductive to building a healthy community.

If Wis does ever show up again, can someone ask him to edit in the recommended reading part? Not saying it's super necessary or anything, just that it'd be kinda nice to have that in there too.

Speaking of recommended further reading, if anyone has any suggestions for stories similar to "The Promise", that'd be pretty helpful. As currently I only have SKORGE's "A Day in the Life of... A Sniper" and my own, "The Survivor" as recommended further reading.

Yes, I opted for the Saturday morning cartoon look. And I quite like it like that.

Mancarbus looks quite threatening, which is appropriate. If I had a complaint, it'd be that maybe I dislike how small these banners appear. But then, I can't change that because of how the screenshot tag works. Well, let's see which Jay prefers.

Like you say Boss, it's a shame about the size of these banners. The thing I see is that the red eyes come out a bit funny looking when they're that size, but when click it and see it's actual size they look fine. (Though Vel with curious blood red eyes is a bit oo-er. )

Couldn't find any color reference pics, seems like they're missing from Frag's gallery. But for some reason I'd imagined the eyes to be red?

I do like the color though, something cool about it.
