Unreal engine 4/ sys req/preview questions

UE3 features. I was wondering where can I see development and features of UE4 ?

Also all UE3 games run well on Sempron 2500+/ Athlon xp + processors which is quite good.
I wash that UE4 stays in same minimum requirements.
How can I contact dev tem of UE4 for future requests?

there maybe consoles/tech/motherboards/cpu's out there being tested without a public "name" yet, its all in development for sure and finalized names etc can all change in time. They probably call a new CPU the "ZENONUltraBaboozle" for all we know for development purposes just to give it a name.

UE4 is next tech and for sure they may do it full 64 bit, and beyond DX11, or 12 or up maybe from that.

I doubt you will see games from it very soon, but for sure EPIC will have to make their showcase game for it (nudge nudge Unreal 3)

Hey, even if they would make a showcase Unreal 3 for it, as long as it would have the same style and concept (unreal style and "you are alone on Na Pali" concept) and the same fast pace I would be all fine with it and would definitely buy it, even if my hardware wouldn't be able to take it. lol

I saw that video about Tim Sweeney at DICE 2012 and it was pretty interesting. However, I don't really believe it, that next consoles will be the same way fast like current high-end PCs. Don't take a look at performance only, take also a closer look at technology and the solution to keep it running!

Unreal Engine 4...well...some blablabla and more, but hey, where is a new Unreal or Unreal Tournament game? There is no real official statement about that somewhere! Of course, people can be patient, but someday every patience takes a end. When I think of Unreal Engine, Unreal and UT come to my mind first and nothing else!

Anyway, I pay a lot of attention to the Unreal Engine 4, especially when it is out! But so far, my feelings and thoughts about this new engine are very mixed and different, call it 50:50. Several changes have happened and I don't really know, if that is good or not...

I love UT but at this point I would rather see a sequel of Unreal. It's been a decade since U2! Can you believe that?

After what happened with UT3, I don't think a new UT title would compel me to spend money on a new computer. It would need to receive rave reviews from long time UT99 fans before I would consider it.

I belive the next Unreal engine will be all brand new "mind blowing" 3D experiance, with new software like windows8 128bit verson!:

There were always supercomputers (since the invention of computers that is), they're used for scientific researches though and not for gaming.

No reason to make engine scale from pentium 3 and GF4 up to ultra config. Imagine a game which would scale like that, all content would have to be multiplied by x times, many many fallbacks for every lacking feature of many different hardware genenerations.

The above quoted from the shacknews page. Recently Nvidia announced the GTX690, I think maybe that's the card Epic used in that demonstration.
After Kepler, Nvidia is going to release the Maxwell architecture (2013?), which will have an integrated ARM. That sounds like a card will reach the minimum requirement of UE4.
After Maxwell the next will be the Einstein architecture(2014? That's when we will see UE4 games?), that will have to be an innovative one otherwise they won't call it Einstein! I think that could be the baseline for the next-gen consoles.

The first video is a simple live movie of grass in the wind, no computer graphics and with aftereffects. That's not the UE4.
The second video does not show the UE4 either, that's just UE3.

This is the Unreal Engine 4. The full presentation in form of a video will be in June (if I recall correctly), these screenshots are official afaIk.
However, talking about the article I think it could be better. I was annoyed by the fact that they kept calling Unreal Engine 4 "Unreal 4". It is not Unreal, Unreal is a game. Heck, they should know that.

this is bull****. Someone doesn't know that UE3 uses DX11... Cryengine was better than UE when it was CE2. Difference were huge but in next years UE pretty much catched CE. At current moment UE3 = CE3 and UE4 is a little bit ahead of UE3.
