neither one of those is a pic of the real skin. classic gold looked more like yellow paint and normal gold actually looks gold (also that's the gears 1 lancer)

I generally prefer the new gold, but on the lancer, it really doesn't show enough. Old gold shows too much, though.

Classic gold. Alot of the time during gameplay with the new gold, it's hard to distinguish between than and a standard lancer

The only issue with Gold is that it doesn't cover the whole gun. The classic Gold also looks horrible in that pic

I prefer the current Gold skins, the classic ones looked like wax to me. Terrible in my opinion.

I like the current gold skins over the Gears 2 version. Now if they did Liquid Gold, ah , well that would be my new toy.

I'm with this right here. While the new gold skin is also nice, i really like the old classic gold, its was all the rage in gears 2, something to be admired because not a lot of ppl have it. brings back nostalgia from gears 2. i like it.

Classic gold, definitely.

I get the whole "But it looks cheesy!" argument, but it holds no weight. That's the whole point.

You may as well complain about the Hunter, Miner, and COG Gear having gold-tinted armor, and Thrashball Cole + Drone.

In Gears of War 2 I had the Gold Hammerburst and it looked far better back then.
Oh, the adventures we had. From Fuel Station to Blood Drive we roamed, care-free
and courageous. I almost feel like going back to use her again.

Unfortunately the Gold Hammerburst in Gears 3 looks like absolute sh*t.

However the best looking Gold weapon (out of all in both games) is the Gold Gnasher.

I'm not a fan of the new gold skins. Sure the old ones were obnoxiously gold/yellow, but at least you could tell they were gold from a distance.

I'd choose the new one, but only because the old looks tacky. The new one should just have a little bit more gold imo.

The classic gold skin is too much, the neo gold skin is right on the money tho. It has a nice balance.

I prefer the gears 3 gold skin for the DBS, Retro, Gnasher and Hammerburst, but the gears 3 lancer gold skin is a bit poor.
