How do you play this game...

Seriously cannot play Gears 2 to save my life. At all.
Gears 3 it's fine-2.0K/D, win 90% of all gnasher fights I get in.

Come on Gears 2 and I'll be lucky to get more than 2 kills after 5-9 rounds of Warzone.

Heard that there's a 4x xp multiplier base now and wanna take advantage of it. Put game on today, level 36 and im getting barely any xp per match because i just cant get any points per match.
Other than boosting I don't think Im ever going to be able to even reach rank 50. gnasher just sponges on everyone and the range of it is absurd.

How do you play this game: With Skill!!

If you having trouble using the Gnasher then then aim the best you can at the enemy and if that doesn't work then go for the power weapons like the boomshot. You should be able to get some kills with a power weapon. Also get grenades and start planting them in great places where there's much traffic.

If your having trouble to get your level up due to the fact you find GOW2 to difficult, play horde. 400 xp guaranteed per wave.

That's because you're obviously not good enough at this game!
I can get plenty of kills just fine when I play. Also you're playing warzone... Play guardian, its a much better gametype.

I wish. The B-button heroes, the TU6 warriors, the superhuman bots, a lancer strong enough to send a brumak running and the mind-numbing lag means Gnasher fights are a no-no.

Lucky you. Real Gnasher action is hard to find for me at least. They normally resort to 2P-ing or one of us gets a one shot down.

I get a lot more in Gears 3, especially in KOTH. TU6 ruined gears 2.

I get barely any in gears 3, even in KOTH, as I don't count being SOS'd as being shotgun action, I just get retro'd and all that ****.

The connection is terrible isn GoW2 i find it unplayable. Also, the absence of the strafe makes me not want to play it.

While I agree that Gears of War 3 is a more well put together game as far as the dedicated servers and gnasher goes, I'd still play Gears 2 over 3 any day. Nobody fights with gnashers in gears 3 at all. It's all lancers/retros/hamerbursts. You're right, though. If the hosts connection in Gears 2 is bad than it's pretty hard to get gnasher kills. But honestly I'd rather get in to laggy gnasher fights than get lancered down every time I spawn in gears 3. Two piecing isn't much of an issue for me. I hardly ever get two pieced playing guardian (play that btw, not warzone) and even if someone trys to two piece me either I can get out of it or we'll kill eachother. I don't seem to have a lot of lag problems because I get host almost every game I play. I have a good connection and even when I don't get host I can usually pull a 2.0+ k/d. As long as you have a decent connection and you get host now and then you'll get used to it. Hard aim/pop shot on laggy connections, and pre-active your shotgun if you must. Gears 2 is where it's at.

TU6 gnasher is really powerful in Gears 2. You can be lancering someone down and they can fire their gnasher and you're out.

i get into plently of gnasher battles in GoW3 ur just not gettin in the right lobbies i agree rifles are more prominent now but at least it's not a 1 gun race... if your getting killed by the SOS that's your own fault...RETRO is garbage but it's easy enough to avoid...
