Proposal for new Versus menu

This is in response to the lack of play on Fenix Rising maps in online versus. Gears of War 2 had the convienent DLC-Only playlists in its versus menu. here is what i propose for Gears 3. It is not a complete over haul of the versus menu or gears menu this is just some adjustments that can save matchmaking.

When you select Versus from the main menu four options should pop up:

Casual

Standard

DLC-Only(same gametypes as standard featuring both Ranked and Quick Matches)

Specialties(gametypes such as ALPHA, stay frosty, get gnashty, boomsnipes, WAASN, BTHE, etc. with Ranked and Quick Matches)

Private

Plain and simple it would give the people who purchased the dlc the ability to play any game type of their choice on a DLC-map rotation just like in GoW2. And with an additional "Specialties" section epic can offer more specialty games and what not. Casual, Standard, and Specialities would have map rotations that includes original and dlc maps(providing everyone in the game has the same maps).

i feel like this would resolve a lot of the issues people have been having and encourage those who haven't purchased the DLC because of what's going on right now to buy the DLC.

I have a similar idea.
Your variant has too many gametypes. We don't need that many DLC-only playlists. I think FR Player's Choice would be quite enough.

EDIT: I'd really like to see specialties private tab. I'd be so cool to play TBT and Thanksgibbing with friends.

I feel ya there is a lot of options but the gametypes in DLC-only would mirror that of standard(TDM and what not). DLC-Only player's choice would be nice(for now) just because i still have been barely playing any fenix rising map. another thing is if people dont have the new maps you still get matched with them and you dont get dedicated server support. thats ****ed, honestly another reason a DLC only playlist would be legitimate. hell they did it in GoW2.

and i forgot about the private match tab but agreed you should be able to play specialties in private

Totally agree .When Fenix Rising released , all playlist mixed and I confused what I wanted to play..I liked the Specialties playlist..If new Versus menu regularly like this , that would be grate..
