The barrel of the gun was lodged directly at Marcus' shoulder, this SHOULD have been a 1 hit kill.

However due to lag the server did not register the bullets at the time his screen saw the shot, thus the bullets went to the left of where he shot. :/

People sponge like nobody's business on Gears, but this isn't a great example.

Yeah, that wasn't the best example of sponging. You swept your thumb across the stick after bouncing toward him and in the time between you "firing" and the shot hitting you had pulled off target and so I see partial hit as the right side of his torso sprays blood and the wall behind him took the rest.

No doubt; it's an effective technique for gib shots.

However, if you feel you were robbed on this one, then I'm not sure you really are experienced in pulling them off. As someone mentioned earlier, I wouldn't have thought twice about this one. You grazed him and you died, better luck next time. No need to make a video about it.

I wish I had a cap card. I get some absolute howlers and no one ever sees them.

EDIT: I come off as a bit of an arsehole in this thread. I apologise, I don't mean to do so. Just didn't think the shot was really worth deliberating over.

How is this not a big deal? I've experienced just about ever BS death you can experience in this game from both sides. I'd say it is indeed a problem. Never in any game I've played online except the GoW franchise do these kinds of things happen. In Halo, the shotgun even if it's not a full on shot is still an instant kill, same in CoD.

Even though GoW3 is considerably better than the previous 2 games... there are still some problems that have been present since GoW1. It doesn't matter if it's LAN, local or online... the Gnasher is and has always been inconsistent as far as instant kills. Host a private vs. match with bots and see how many shots you find yourself firing when you're in CQC with a bot and I promise at least 1 time per round you will have to put 2-3 shots in one bot to kill it. I've played GoW1 and 2 on LAN and in local matches and these issues are still present and can be game breaking...
