introduction
finally it's possible to record good quality videos of game play in iOS 5. for recording either an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 is highly recommended. older iDevices will still be able to record videos but in lower quality and with more noticeable lag; these videos are marked in the table with a star after opponents level, i.e. 121*. for best possible playback either a PC or iPad is recommended.
now what?
start off by reading the Display Recorder manual. I have recorded the videos in the table above using the follow settings on a iPad 2:
how to contribute
please feel free to contribute to this thread. post a link to your video -- together with info about opponent lvl, OG/NG lvl, weapon class used, elemental damage type used by opponent and whether you were able to win without taking damage -- and I will add it to the OP.
what's the purpose?
the main purpose of these videos are educational. hence your video will be of great value to other players regardless of what level you or your opponent have. as an example we need videos of lower level fights to be able to compare them to higher level ones to determine if there is any noticeable change in speed. watching someone else fight might also give clues or tips on how to evolve your own way of playing the game. so don't feel intimidated to share your recordings no matter what; in the quest for knowledge it will be a great contribution. hopefully, with time, we'll have a nice collection of very informative videos.
can't record yourself?
post a request in the thread and it will be moved to the OP; this way people recording videos will know what others are interested in watching.
