So all the crybabies without "Member of the Old Guard" and a gold gnasher can gush about their lack of an attempt to dedicate themselves to a previous title before an amazing one came out that they actually picked up because it was talked about so much? They need to do all their focus on gears 3 guys it has a few issues that should be at the top of their list,maybe a gears 2 event after gears 3 is tended to but not now.

Have you hear about rank reset? ..cause i think you didn't , theres more than one here who have enough gameplay time XP to own that rank, but the multipole resets stop that from happening.

Now is funny how you call cry babies to the people and then you have in your OWN signature...All DLC content(inc. pre-orders)...yea lol? is that not a baby attitude of: I WANT TO HAVE THEM ALL ...and then want it to show them so badly....

Let me tell you why.... it's something called a rank....re...set. In gears 3 it has become more apparant imo but in gears 2 it happened also. Do you even understand how much xp a level 1-100 needs? The equivalent of 200 levels of gears 3 rank, so thats a rank green wings. Gears 3 fortunately doesn't lag bad and weapons work delightfully but that's not the issue with gears 2.

I tried to go back and get my level back up after the knock and i managed to get level 44 before i just got bored and left for the other games (gears 2 at this point had been out for 1.5 years).

I wansn't a forumer unfortunately or i would have known about an xp event before gears 3 release, many people got it this way back then so why can't we?

As a matter of fact yes, I've heard of it, my GF was a lvl 73 and had it happen, yeah, I got lucky, it happened to me at 20 or 30 something. Yes, I am aware of the time it takes to get the wings... I got them.

It'd be a baby attitude if I *****ed about having to pay for them... Yeah I wanted them, so I bought them off ebay, I just like saying it; case you hadn't noticed, I'm not the only one who puts what they have in their sig... I'm a huge fan of the game and didn't want to miss out on anything. I'm not singling out the people who had their rank reset either, shame about that, I got lucky... but then you have the 11 years olds who want their gold gnashers cause they feel denied... I missed the flaming HB since I got bulletstorm on the PS3... bugs me, but you don't see me crying.

I've been around since the beginning. Hell, I still remember the old days of GoW2, before the numbers rank system was implemented. I've dedicated plenty of time to GoW2, but between the change in ranking systems (which resulted in everyone being reset) and rank resets due to glitches, I never made it to 100 (I'm a 74). I've technically devoted enough time to be a 100, but you wouldn't know it by looking at my 74.

My point being, many of us were dealt bad hands during GoW2's lifespan, and an XP event would be a great way to make up for all of it.

Couldn't agree more, but the reason they listened to that change is because they are focussing on gears 3 (their latest game) so I'm glad they still are supporting. But I also want a reply, just yes or no and we can move on for good.

I don't know if anyone has ever considered this, but one way to get an event might be to do more than just one thread and keep posting new ones until they get tired of trying to remove them all or something. Basically they'd say "Alright! FINE! Take your damn event. 50x xp." lol Probably wouldn't work, but it would be funny if it did.
