Stripped!?!?!

Has anyone here had an issue with all of you rankings and accolades being stripped from you? I signed on to xbox live and proceded to play a multiplayer and saw that my ranking was 1. I was 96!!!!!!!! I then checked all of my ribbons....gone! All my earned characters, medals, etc... gone! I spoke with xbox support and they said I'd have to wait 14 to 18 days for help with this issue. If you have had this problem could you please let me know what the outcome was and if it was remedied!! Thanks in advance!

You have been hit by the rank reset glitch my friend. Unfortunately, there's usually not a lot that you can do about it once it's happened, unless you made a backup beforehand. You can try deleting your player data from your gears of war 3 save, and then recovering your gamertag. This only works maybe 1% of the time. The only other way to get your data back is if you have ever played gears 3 on another console. If so, there should be a spare player data file on there you can use to get some progress back. '
