Environment (PC/PS3) Ported 2K4 textures pack to UT3 Materials

Out of curiousity, has any ever attempted a complete port of UT2K4 textures to UT3 materials and placed them in a pack that could be installed?

Same with meshes. I'm sure this would be a big undertaking.

I was looking back at some screenshots of maps I'd started in 2K4 and never finished and saw some of the old textures... some were quite amazing to look at.

    Might be a cool project.

Done it for egyptian set. Textures are fine, but they do not have normal maps, also meshes sometimes need total rework because of vertex light and smooth groups.
Result file for partially converted egypt set was 150mb, at that time nobody really wanted to download 100mb extra.

Importing a texture, and then only using the diffuse texture kind of defeats the purpose of the newer engine. Making normal and specular maps is fairly easy in photoshop using that nVIDIA plug-in. Lot's of videos on youtube explaining how to. There is a conversion of BinarySpace that only used the flat diffuse texture. Just for kicks I made the materials using specular and normal maps. Came out looking a lot better.... although the author had some materials stretched 8x's, so it made me want to remake the textures from scratch for a better definition.

Meh, if you send me the images I can make specular and normal maps in about an hour with Crazybump (which makes Ambient Occlusion and Displacement maps that I have yet to figure out how to use in UT3)... I have the Unreal Anthology box set somewhere around here, but I packed up a lot of my older games and stuff when I got this new computer beast (takes up an entire shelf with it's giant server case). If I can find my copy, I will just port them myself, but it would probably be faster if someone just sent an archive my way.
