Is it just what I'm doing or can you never generate a navmesh that will work with an enclosed structure? I'm trying with BSP so I can try multiple variations with ease, and to see if it was something to do with how much space there is into the building, but that doesn't seem the case.
Notice the one with no roof has a navmesh generated for it and I tried raising the height to make sure it wasn't the height of the entrance. I've also checked the structure (in PIE) and there is plenty of clearance room for the Pawn, both width and height, so it's like the Scout is completely ignored (I've lowered the radius/height of the Scout as well).
I'm hoping I'm missing something that someone could point out (besides using a static mesh to generate a mesh) otherwise navmesh generation in UDK is fairly pointless unless you plan on UT style maps or terrains. In which case, I vote on manual navmesh creation, it's not so much of a hassle to have it auto-generate, not to mention having the best of both worlds (auto-generate first then manually edit).
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
