Buff Up The Meatshield

Do you guys think that the meatshield needs to be buffed? A meatshield would last you 5 seconds when two people with gnashers are attacking you.

Sheet a SINGULAR retro lancer rips through a meatshield hardly before you fully have the time to pick it up

sorry about that its just that i just got killed by a person using a gnasher while i had the meatshield.

A meat shield is like having your team mate in front of you take all the damage for you.

Of course it;s not gonna take 2 retro clips, a sawed off, and a gnasher.

then there really isnt a point about the meatshield, you would rather take the kill by shooting and running away

What if you want the kill and their teammate is right infront of them, gnasher out?

Meatshield them, they absorb the shot and you can escape, retaliate, etc.

Absorb the shot, you can only absorb about 3 out of the 8 they have and retaliating might be hard when there are more than just 1. And retro lancers cut rite through a meatshield.

maybe trying getting better so you don't need a meatshield?

Then just remove the meatshield feature, ive only used it about 5 times mostly to the put him against the wall nd you know.

No. Just for one obvious reason so that person who grabs someone in meatshield isn't invincible like they were in GoW2.

The meatshield is a valid tactic, and the very best players won't hesitate to use one, especially in KOTH. That said it doesn't need a buff, since it is what it is...a MEAT shield. Its useful without being OP, and if you have a competent pistol user its a very useful option.

That is a very ignorant statement.....so what if someone blind sides you just after a fight and puts you full red.....and you get a OSD on him after bouncing and the whole team is running at YOU!? you're going to just stand there and go "meh I'll go rambo with no health" or "crap I'll pick him up and give myself a chance to get my health back and at least secure the kill I just downed.

On topic the Meatshield doesn't need boosting......it was majorly absorbent in gears 2 to the point you needed 4 gnasher shots (if I remember rightly) just to drop it.....that's half your SHOTGUN clip....they're not meant to make you invincible, just give you about a second or twos breathing space.

Nah the point of the meat sheild is to save your life it will take a few shots and in that time you could down someone with the snub and punch or pop a head with the boltock or do the bag n tag or just pick him up and they will back of for a second and you can drop it and run of lol I think it's fine ATM the only crap thing it the bag n tag thing it's pretty pointless apart from maybe running away and I don't want meat shields from gears 2 it was like trying to shoot through a house

Meatshields are a reliable way to win a 3v1. It essentially turns that 3v1 into a 2v1 because of the shield. Given this, the best of players would use a meatshield when there is no good cover around and when outnumbered. I'm surprised you didn't come with some gnasher rhetoric about how meatshield is for hard-aim scrubs who cant wallbounce like a pro etc etc. but you may not have that rationale so im not gonna assume this.

I still feel the OP is just bad with the pistol and so wants more health for the meatshield.

I think it could use a little more health, but not like it was in Gears 2. Gears 2 meatshields were ridiculous.

The meatshield has 1000 health (coming from games data files) and a player has 600.
Meatshield doesn't need a buff as it's saved you basically from a death and a half.
