I think the gem cost is determined by the gem tier plus the RandomAddPercent (from http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4431/gemdata.png). In some categories these tiers might have overlaps, for example tier 3 health gems might have a range from 25 to 45 health, while a tier 2 health gems might have a range from 15 to 35. However, a tier 3 health gem will always cost more than a tier 2 health gem. So, you might see a health gem at 28 (from tier 3) that costs more than a health gem at 30 (from tier 2). I think the RandomAddPercent is what makes it so that if you have multiple gems of the same kind, sometimes the price is a little different (e.g., one Attack +50 gem might cost $23,985 while another Attack +50 gem costs $24,301).

Grats on your gem aussi3, do you remember what chest it was from? If you have to guess I would prefer just to leave an 'L' there. I would rather the data be sharp in case we're able to infer anything about the chest locations.

I have a Drop Item +520% that I picked up a long time ago (not from a big chest) that sells for $140,055.

I didn't get a price from you either Name (for the potion 502%), but I have a pic showing two gems very similar to what Matanvr reported, which I used to approximate the price: magic +195 and shield +57.

Nice find. As long as it's in the ballpark, there's not much need for a picture. But if you wanted to have one, your only options are pasting the image url or hotlinking in text.

Despite being so cheap this seems like a compelling alternative to sword and shield compared to titan break+2. I wonder if these hexagon gems were priced this low to encourage us to swap them out, indicating that titan break might be better for dual but that this could be better for S&S and maybe heavy.

I think I know why I was confused now. Anyway I just got the same gem: 238 damage on perfect parry (rb 94 V).

I also just confirmed that after the update triangle gems still do override square elemental gems. With a triangle gem I was only doing normal hits. I restarted the fight without the triangle gem and was suddenly doing water hits. This might have been intentional though, with the idea that we have to choose which one is best.

Great list, guys! I've been tracking costs to remove gems from equipment, but I don't have nearly as many high level gems nor can I afford to equip them (and maybe have to pay removal prices) without serious thought. (Best is a Shield +51 @ sale price $424,837 fm I think Goliath chest.)

Maybe we get some indications on the highest gems' prices to remove from gear? I'd be curious to know.

Almost. To derive the selling price from the gem removal price, you need to multiply the removal price by 3.333. So 208k. However, if your screen is bright enough and it's dark enough, it will still show the selling price in the lower right when you're looking at the removal price.
