No interest in that cartoon style UE4 game, it's just a test game? If that UE3.9 demo into a full UE4 action game also good. Gaint sandbox maps, like UBI Watch Dog style......

Talking about Unreal RPG, I think Epic should learn from Rockstar. Skyrim is fun, but RDR is immersive, the story, the environment, the sound...
The playable areas could be on different planets, something like Mass Effect, but don't copy that galaxy map and spacetime travel stuff.

Like Mass Effect is cool, UE4 is very powerful, so if no several planet, just one is also OK, a huge one, a whole planet world map, travel to different areas ,using aircraft, vehicles and take missions, hire teammate, visit cities, works as mercenaries etc, or join factions like Fallout ...

I hope that's World of Unreal , ...so every faction in Unreal and UT can join and you can choose your faction and customize your character..but focus on single RPG game...


Epic is great and different from other enigne and game company, they not just make FPS all the way like AC COD, DICE BF, Crytek Crysis, ID Quake, but other types of games, Jazz, Shadw, ifinite blade, Gears, Fortnite....

After FPS, TPS, Now time for a big RPG, beat MAss Effect and the Elder Scroll...

I doubt that i will see epic creating RTS. Especially that this genre is unplayable on gamepads. Not counting butchered pseudo RTSs.

Anyway. I think that they should do a little comeback to UT and Jazz Jackrabbit

They should make a RPG game in future after Fortinite, or sandbox map game, Epic can do everything, there're not many great RPG nowadays, there's a chance for Epic to show the new engine power, If they do, it will be so much better than Mass Effect, etc...

They showed power with demo. Now they're showing how easy and flexible is toolset for indie developers. Some videos make me think that they are trying to steal some unity users . But it's true that epic can do actually everything with all experts they have in team. Epic rather sticks to games which are gameplay intense so i would rather expect action RPG rather pure cRPG btw.

Just a little mention due to the "cameo" of Malcolm, if they wanted to make a story or something of that kind, it would have been better to make it properly as an Unreal game, putting the UT-gametypes aside. If they wanted a warfare scenario, they could have taken it and expand it and still it would not mean it would have to have no multiplayer. Look at Unreal 1, it had a story/great singleplayer mode and a multiplayer that served as a base for UT99. So, I don't see anything wrong with the "make singleplayer Unreal with UT multiplayer" concept, as long as it's done properly. And making a storymode = Unreal game to me, not UT. UT is when you have a singleplayer Tournament ladder and a multiplayer mode with all the gametypes featured in the SP ladder and more. UT3 is still more UT than Unreal as the story was just an excuse to somehow present and explain the gametypes, but that story is really... weird. I've never played a UT game with a story before, if you get what I mean. It was just like "eh, what?". I know this is not another one of those "UT4 please" threads, but in case they should consider to make it, they should definitely focus on title = concept. UT = tournament game, competitive and with a fast-paced multiplayer, there is no need for a story, whereas, if they make an Unreal game, they're free on making a story and still it wouldn't hinder them to make a UT-like multiplayer. Think of U1 multiplayer and UII XMP.

I hope this too, but I doubt this will happen very soon simply because of Microsoft. I'm very sure they have a contract with Microsoft to release the Gears series on their consoles only, I'm curious how long the contract lasts. Maybe we PC players will get to see it in the next 20 days - or never.

Well, a week ago or so it was said that Digital Extremes is working on a well known AAA multiplayer (?) shooter. Could be UT, or maybe not. I try to not hope that it will be UT so that I won't be disappointed if it will turn out to be some other shooter. We'll see, there are chances that if D.E. is working on UT, Epic could be working on a new Unreal, but on the other hand, it could be that this won't be the case.

Yes I have a great comment on that. Looks like console gaming is slowly dying out and as for PC gaming, we're getting better! Most of the console games are also available on PC too such as COD: Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3, as the latter part said " it’s going to be more like a hobby market because of the rise of gaming on PCs, smartphones, tablets, etc.".
