Well, I think the Hammerburst is quite strong as it is. I have a pretty fast trigger finger after using it throughout Gears 2, and the recent accuracy increase and removal of long-range damage reduction make it intimidating in the right hands. Enabling headshots or even adding a headshot modifier would likely make the assault rifle too powerful.

Yes. I am a Hammerburst user and I can down people easily with it. Adding the ability to headshot in multiplayer would make it overpowered unless it's a downed player only option.
Due to it's small clip size - many times you only have 1-2 shots in your clip after you down someone - in which usually results in you having to reload. I think they should add that option to be able to headshot a downed opponent. If not, at least on a active reloaded shot.

HAHA, headshots would be cool w/ hammerburst yes. It would also be the most ridiculously overpowered weapon in the game.

It would be cool, but the Hammerburst is already crazy strong as it is, if it were to become capable of headshots, it would be the most OP thing known to man.

This idea popped up a lot before the game was released. I hate it more than any idea for Gears 3 out there, but that's just me.

The gun was already the best and fasted downing rifle, BEFORE they BUFFED it a month or so ago. Even Joe said so, not saying his opinion is greater than yours, but I think he knew what he was talking about when he called it the most OP rifle.

i think that zee Lancer Chainsaw Bayonett, Ham (Hammerburst) and zee Retro Lancer don't need any buffs, they are good as they are. Buffs would just make them ridiculously over-powered.

I personally think ANY kill shot to the head should do the headshot effect.
Like for example the Hammerburst - it takes at least 3 shots to kill a downed player. So if the kill shot was to the head - why not give the player the bonus of headshot satisfaction? It wouldn't change of buff anything as the shot itself would of been a kill shot regardless.
Or in the case of a player who has been revived already 2 times. If the last bullet that hits him - kill him and it's a headshot - give the effect.
As for this in general about this gun, as previously stated - I am for it but ONLY on downed enemies.

If downed twice and shot in the head would result in a headshot effect - but only if the shot would of killed him normally. Meaning it could take more than 1 shot to the head.

I would only support this if it would be like the snub pistol's headshot system. The snub only pops heads when a person is DBNO or have already been downed twice. I'm an avid user of the hammerburst, but we don't want the SOS deal all over again. Too much complaining for me.

I think all of the guns should be able to headshot. Hear me out before you flame LOL.
I'm not saying after one or two lucky shots you should be able to pop someone's head off for a kill. I'm saying if they're dbno why not be able to score a headshot if you can take the time and pull if off....

Epic actually tested this out before the beta and took it out, because it made the Hammerburst OP.

I use the hammerbursrt alot, and my opinion is no. That WOULD make the gun over powered. If it could do headshots then headshots would be too easy. Since I frequently find myself managing to hit my enemies heads when I'm using the iron sights.
