With MW3, Skyrim, and others gems such as...Rayman Origins out Warzone and Execution are practically dead and impossible to get into without bots.

Execution DEFINES Deathmatch in GOW, always has, and it pains me to see it being in such a horrendous state while TDM is overflowing. I have a 2.5k KD off TDM alone, I just really hate it and wanna go back to the days of REAL Gears.

people just like to respawn. A lot of new gears players seem to have come over from other games with Gears 3 (myself included from competitive Halo) but TDM gives people a chance to get used to the big learning curve of the game. and also like some people have said, Alpha playlist is great and a lot of people play it. Also most people vote execution in Alpha.

All the gamemodes have a place in Gears now and are all uniquely Gears.
TDM you don't have long wait times of inactivity when you're dead or join a match.
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why its so popular.

For the first time in three years I took gears out of the tray in the middle of a saturday night playing multiplayer and start playing something else because I was bored. There was actually three of us that just got bored, we tried to play koth and ctl, we don't really play the alpha playlist because our gnashers sponge too badly.

I just don't know what it is about this gears that does that but I'd love to see some other objective based game mode or something.

the problem is, all the new people that have/wana come to gears have a louder voice then the people that have been playin since day 1, they complain its borin waitin for everyone to die, so they make deathmatch, they complain its to hard to get kills, so they bring in RL and SOS, and they the vet's of gears dont like it but yet dont seem to have a voice, even tho those are the people that helped the game become what it is and spread the word of how good it is, now, dont get me wrong, obviously u need new people to help keep a game goin, but i was always taught its more important to keep current customers happy rather than attract new, IE, if u ever ring your phone company to tell them u wana leave, they say they are goin to put u through to disconnections, but internally its called retentions, where they will do anythin to keep u, seem epic are turnin against they loyal fans in favour of people who wana play till the next best game, leave the vets annoyed with the crap

Im sorry but there is so much maps that have High Ground in GOW3 that turn this mode into a lancering scub fest.... Sandbar, Trashball(EPIC FAIL), Trenches(EPIC FAIL), Drydock, even checkout have a damn high spot where you can mustard the whole map... its terrible....

In GOW1 the high ground was never a problem, man even in GOW2 it was not, even with stopping power i could manage to reach the guy on top of the stairs and kill him. I will admit i played mostly execution, but the only thing that ANNOYED ME very much was the nade tagging in respawn mode, cause the nade where too close to spawn...

Anyway TDM did the trick before they made Alpha, i hated to play execution only to be scrub down by a retro user or blown to piece by a DBS. But now that EXECUTION is there, there is no need to play sucky TDM, no noob weapon anymore, if only people could down a bit there machine gunning.... but again, blame it on epic for the high ground.

Alpha Execution is great. I also like Warzone to kind of. Nothing like pulling off a nice clutch in a game of Execution. Just last week I pulled off a nice 4v1 clutch on hotel during an alpha execution match and then proceeded to do it again the following match.

I don't necessarily hate TDM, but it certainly does not facilitate the same adrenaline rush as execution and warzone do.

All this coming from a guy who spent 95% of his time playing Ranked Annex in Gears 2 with over 3,000 matches played.

I hope you were laughing as you were writing this because its the funniest thing im going to read today. The "vets" are the loudest by far. Don't believe me? How about 6 title updates fixing the gnasher on gears 2? That want new people crying for that. Or the alpha play list? Was it new people shouting for that?

i played gears 2 for almost 3 years and only played guardian, i never thought of execution as the default gears mode or the main one. and as u can see by the numbers, most people agree.

I think TDM needs to be changed to make it feel like a gears mp mode.. all Epic has to do is make it so each player gets 3 respawns.. That way each person cares more about playing smart and not wasting your 3 respawns.. Also it would help with bots because they would only waste their respawns. and not the whole teams.. It would still be 15 respawns, it will just be 3 per person..

I can't tell you how many times I've felt that way playing the game -- just straight up bored.
