Hey arCtyC thanks for all the good advice. It really does make all the difference and helps newbies (like me) transition into the game easier!

I wanted to ask you, after watching your alternate controls video I was wondering if you could give some followup feedback on the controls now after you've had an extended time to play with it. Are there any drawbacks that really turn you off from this setup? Anything about default controls that you really miss? I ask this because I started on alternate controls but am starting to look into default just to test out which controls work best for me. I figured your input would be nice to hear. If you ever get around to it, thanks in advance!

I haven't thoroughly tested the new settings. I've been on 25 for my Look sensitivity but I haven't really tweaked any of the other settings. I'll update the OP after I've had some more time to test out the high end (30).

I saw ur vid when it came out & it's great with slight changes. I realized that playing on a higher look sensitivity is better for me (I prefer close battles with the gnasher, & wallbouncing). The longshot my fav power weapon in GOW3 I use it in long, medium, & close range so I go 17 with the target sensitivity. As for the zoom it doesn't matters for me cuz I barely use it.

I think they should do a set look/target/zoom for ranked. I mean I know on quick match I'm at 28/27/23 or something like that and I can see people turning and aiming MUCH MUCH SLOWER on ghost cam and it pisses me off.

Or maybe i didn't realize it is there a default +whatever on ranked?

I got to Green prestige on default and then watched this video on youtube a couple months ago and decided to try the Alternate Control Scheme (acs) and with the Onza controller. One thing I don't think you mentioned in the video was what resistance you had your sticks set on and that's had the biggest effect for me on aiming. Also I've been using the ACS since and am now a Blue 50 and would never change back it's a pure dream besides the running after cover. The transition too where I felt I was better at the game on ACS was about 2 weeks though. My advice to people is stick with it, it's very awkward at first but you can adjust.

I use 30-30-20 and have my map buttons the same as yours. The left stick I keep at the loosest stick setting for easier wall bouncing. For the right stick, I have it 11 clicks to the right resistance level. This is so great because it allows me to keep my sensitivity high and still have a steadier more precise shot. I don't think the 3rd sensitivity setting needs to be any higher than 20, you should already be putting your shot in the general vicinity of where you want to shoot. Zooming in should be for minor adjustments and so should be steady not jerky.

Aw to hell with it, I prefer my method: set all sensitivities to the fastest and learn to use it.

been visiting the forums before but just signed up. just wanted to say that your vids are super helpful! now i get why i've been having a hard time wallbouncing cause of my settings 3/2/25. But on a side note, i can tag moving targets with ease from long range with these. gonna check them out when i get home from work.

Reved-up my settings to 18/12/12 and wall bouncing has been easier. Just practiced with the settings the whole weekend and got accustomed to the feel of the target sensitivity and now can tag moving targets much faster.
