Really? I find it pales in comparison with the Boltok and Snub. It may have a slight advantage over the Boltok in super close range, but the Snub too?

I love the gorgon, it pretty much gives you a back up pocket assault rifle so you can pick up the sniper/torque without worrying about mid range after you run out of ammo

What can it do that the Snub cannot though? The Snub is practically a pocket Hammerburst, with a sacrifice in long distance for shorter distance encounters. And forget the Boltok, which is by far the best pistol.

Every bullet it fires is as strong as a snub bullet, 5 shots to the head will down. The only thing you miss out on is accuracy. And you don't have to deal with the snub pistol's ridiculous firing rate cap.

I just feel overall its usage is terribly limited and there is nearly no reason to pick it up, same as Gears of War 2. Even though it could down with a single active burst, it was so easy to avoid, and still is now in GoW3, even with it being automatic.

i liked the one in gow2 better personally. was my favorite pistol. will take some getting used especially the recoil

It had a useful amount of ammo, stylish burst action, and great power. Now, you're probaly better off just using the Snub.

Stop a Sawed-Off rush in less time.

I much prefer how it was in Gears 2 though. As it is now, I'll pick it up if I'm playing Hammerburst since it helps with Sawed-Off players.

I find that it's easily the best pistol, especially when holding a meat shield(very useful in CTL)

at least in gears 2 an active burst was an instant down. Still useless but was fun to mess around with now and again.

The gun is a beast, at a short to short-medium distance, it will outperform a lancer and a hammerburst given you have the skill to keep the reticle on the guy. I wouldn't recommend, going toe to toe at this range with somebody with a retro, retro is a beast as well at this range, would probably not be smart.

well i never liked the gorgon pistol
i did not liked it in part 2.
and i do not like it in part 3.
i mean i always love the boltok to damm much.
it was awesome.

but now since the snub has such a awesome excution i now these days use the snub the most.

so yeah the gorgon in not my fav and i do not care for this gun either

As someone who rocks the Hammerburst and Gnasher, picks up meatshields when he can and also is the only person in this part of the galaxy who picks up the Boomshield on Overpass, the Gorgon is a fantastic sidearm for me.

Love the Gorgon. As said above, it's super-useful in CTL when you have a shield or meatshield. I remember the good old Guardian-days, on Ruins, backed up into a corner with boomshield and gorgon as leader, destroying 3 or 4 rushers at a time. It's not AS good now, but still I love it.

The Gorgon is bad ass. Up close of course. Anything farther than a gnashers range (don't quote me on this, I'm guessing.) the gun is a dud. It's more of a close quarters weapon.

The gorgon pistol is like the lancer and the retro had a baby, and it got all the dominant traits. I love it. I actually prefer it in CQC to either shotgun. If I'm not running with the retro, I make it a point to pick the gorgon up.

I think the Gorgon is pretty useful for a back up weapon when dropping your rifle for a power weapon but it needs a new Execution...the one we have is lame lol
