    Default Someone wants some horde

    hello

    i'm trying to make a horde mode for my maps, so here is link for beta release for Torment Map, i made only 15 waves* but it has some action
    So here is link and more infos :

    new Update

    What i Want to do at this moment is (that infos does not refers to demo release):
    - 25 Waves (15 Done)
    - UI (30% Done)
    - Random events (Done; Count: 5)
    - Custom Characters (45% Done)
    List of already added Characters:
    Cog:
    -Tai
    -Dizzy
    Locust:
    -Butcher
    -Ticker (sometimes he dont want to blow himself up after couple of waves trying to fix that)
    -Sire
    -Grinder
    -Kantus
    -Palace Guard
    -Queen Myrrah
    -Cyclops
    -Beast Rider
    -Flame Grenadier (with not so buggy Scorcher as that below )
    -Flame Boomer (with very buggy Scorcher)
    -Skorge (having troubles with height of anims so for now he's unavaible)
    Trying to add as many as possible
    - Checkpoint system (Idea; if it will work i'll put it)
    - Money & Powers System (I Have a concept of these, not added in demo)
    - And of course change map enviroment
    and some Videos for you

    At last!


    Played it and I had a massive fps drop, 10-15 fps, I had to disable AA and VYsnc to obtain a 25-37 fps range. Maybe if I disabled dx10 I would get higer fps...

    Is this cooked?

    But ignoring that, good job, especially that thing at the end of a wave.

    No it isn't cooked, and i think i know what may cause that fps dorps and i'm working on that, that thing at the end of the wave will be strongly improved

    How did you do the "Play As:" and "choose difficulty" UI things? What widget is it?

    it looks diffirent now, but yes its a widget but i'm not using this at the moment, its a slider(?) or something

    OK, play, it, vey nice, hope all Horde is 50 wave in future, the UI is nicely done, too...

    i think when each wave ends no need to show the score and music begin, just pass on with next wave is better, just my opinion, also map can be a little brightter, thanks again....

    the map size is small ,i love that. No download pain,thx~Great work~~~

    UGH, uncooked, this map works, but on cooked version, it crashes, this **** only happens to me!

    It has to be Vista, there is no other explanation.

    If you dont mind, could you upload uncooked version, please...

    Cooking maps can cause all sorts of silly things to happen, it is best to leave your maps uncooked

    Really? Thanks man, checking

    And, I think crashing is related to the usage with LGgamepack_E, since this package is "alergic" to cooking.

    And, try uploading uncooked versions on gamefront or something. Mediafire sucks, it triggers a popup all da time, plus "saving as" never works.

    i never had problems with mediafire so i uploaded it there.
    My friend tested uncooked version and had some issues with some gameplay elements but generally worked well.
    But LG_gamepack_E? i dont used it directly with this map just duplicated needed parts and edit edited what was needed to work without that package

    Gamefront works wonders

    Although for my mod I use cloud hosting, it's easier to maintain.

    Uncooked WORKS! But I die at 3'rd wave... all the time, havent got a chance to slay some tickers

    Nothing that a good old cheat config cant fix though MUAHAHAHAHA

    There is also a bug with Dizzy hat when hard AIMING, but that I can fix myself,you see, Dizzy uses 2 different hats, one for hard aiming and one for normal camera.

    Anyhow, very well done. It is a big improvement.

    Ah ok, nothing much can be done about that then. Maybe try a proxy or something

    And yeah it's best to upload uncooked version, cooking maps causes all sorts of problems.

    ok i've changed archive on moddb to uncooked version, but you must wait till it will be checked by sitemods, sorry for any problems you've encountered

    Finally played it, uncook version no crash at all, works perfectly,

    Geat improvement, the framerate is much higher now, good optimization, just need more light....

    Gamplay is tough and fun indeed, i found a problem is when berserker kill teammate, game ends soon,

    so very tough to avoid this, maybe just 1 teammate? anyone got some tips?......

    Gears 3 models is fun, if more models and maps added and remake into this, then we can play Gears2 and 3 in future.lol..Thanks...

    I'm encountering some editor crashes, to avoid that every day i do backup of my files and instead of "save & quit" map at the end of my "work" I save, then load & save map (i do that because of some bugs when i chage or delete custom sequence) and quit editor, luckly there is no more crashes

    Damn, Epic really should update Gears editor, but they already gice up this series, and focus their 5 new games, Future Gears is made by PCF?

    Anyway they said the new games is not that big as Gears, whichi mean not cover system TPS, God.......

    I made some progress with that mod so 2 things have to anounced:
    1. I'm changing map to Security ported by theron,
    2. Now working on "Special Powers"
