So, about Horde.

Although this forum is full of complaints and arguments, I'd like to take the time and applaud EPIC for how well Horde was done in this game. I don't think this part of the game gets enough praise. I just got my 50 waves on Insane and it was worth the challenge.

So yeah.... that's about it. I just thought I'd attempt to change the mood on the forums.

I do, I honestly enjoy pretty much every aspect of GoW 3. The SoS can be very, very annoying, but there is so much more good in this game than bad. I tend to look at everything that they did right.

And Horde is one of those things. It is extremely fun with friends and modifiers on, we played for about 5 hours tonight.

It's right up there for me, my favorite thing is still CTL though. My friends and I had a 20 something win streak on that.

But I could play Horde all day. Beast is pretty good, too. I just wish it was longer.

Agreed, loving beast and horde. I really wish we could have the social aspect of horde of being able to come and go as we please, or be on a dedicated server so you don't get booted when the host leaves.

it is pretty fun. the only thing that I don't like is how expensive everything is. Why can't we get super pimped out forts like the humans do in Beast mode?

and everything except for turrets, decoys, and silverbacks (if you go for buying one) seem pointless as they don't give you anything if they get kills. Yeah, I know that decoys don't, but they are life savers when you go down and all the idiot enemies rush the decoy instead so you don't get curbstomped. fences are a pain in the ass as you want at least an electric or higher to be useful against humanoid enemies, but getting their and maintaining them costs more than you'll probably be able to afford.

I only played horde in gears 2 for achievements , I was a die hard execution player , but after the versus in this game I went on to horde and it's probably the most enjoyable part of the game.

Yeah horde's the best game mode of the entire game for me. We went through insane with Must Active, No Ammo Pickups, and Infinite ammo (no super reload) just because we wanted the REAL challenge, made it to wave 44. That's not bad seeing as we had a noob with us, he listened down to the last reload and nearly hit 50. 4 with 1 noob, Not bad at all. Had a great time, all my great times are on horde. Hands down funnest, favorite game mode.
