That's the whole point of putting a Scorcher there. It makes Top Control less desirable on Sandbar, spreading players around the map a little bit more.

On mercy you need to either change the power weapons up top (Oneshot, Mortar) or switch the boltok to mortar round! it counters the oneshot to well making it useless

Nobody has even discussed the fact they put the Scorcher in Sandbar to make the hill useless. What they didn't say is "We know, the scorcher is pretty f**k'n useless lol." because they know nobody's ass is going to pick that up on Sandbar without getting laughed and and beat around the map like a ping pong ball.

These changes are excellent. They've made these maps far more balanced.

That's precisely the point. The hill/fortress is, tactically, the best area on the map to be; it doesn't need a good weapon. It leaves teams to now make an important decision: Get the Boomshot, which is located in an open, vulnerable area, or go and secure the hill/fortress to give yourselves an environmental advantage.

Why didn't they change Gorgon/Gorgon for Boltok/Boltok or Boltok/Gorgon in Sandbar? Gorgon/Gorgon makes zero sense for a ranging map like that.

In all fairness, it wasn't that effective of a weapon there. The only kills you'd really get with it were on people coming from spawn to pinnacle, and even then you'd be more likely to get sniped that to get a kill

I like the spawn changes except only 1 map now has the hammer. It really needs to be added to at least 1 more map (if not more), Thrashball and Trenches come to mind.

Really why didnt those show up when I played a few minutes ago???

There was still mortar/ HOD on overpass

and there was Boomshot and one shot still on Sandbar

I was playing quickmatch TDM just 20 minutes ago and the sawed off is the same.

What the hell is going on? Is this a joke or something?

They left the One shot on dry dock? That thing felt so useless no really good ledges to use without dragging it to the middle of the bridge are you are completely screwed if anyone comes by.

BOOOOOOO no digger on Sandbar......The one shot was fine as it was. Not liking the Sandbar changes.

Too bad for the Hammer of Dawn and Mortar for I feel its good to take them out on Overpass but now they are not on very many maps....Guess we'll have to wait and see if they appear on DLC maps in the coming months ahead.

I don't like some of the changes.

The Mortar was really effective for destroy campers on the top position. The Torque Bow is completely useless.
For Sandbar having the Scorcher always in that point is boring. No one will use it.

My changes:

Overpass
Mortar > Mortar
HoD > Boomshot

Sandbar
Digger > Digger
Boomshot > Scorcher
One-Shot > Boomshot

Dry Dock
One-Shot > Mortar
Mortar > Mortar

The one-shot is awful in this map. No good spot to use it.

Gridlock
Digger > Torque Bow
Boomshot > Boomshot

I am extremely upset with the removal of the Hammer of Dawn on Overpass, it was one of the only maps with it on it and I loved being able to kill people without them ever knowing where I was, there are spots all over that map and now there is only one map with a Hammer of Dawn on it =\, the Torque bow also doesn't seem too interesting on that map, yeah it has a huge advantage if you get it up top but so far it just seems like the Hammer of Dawn would have been better.

Sandbar however? That works fine, I like the idea of the high ground being its only reward with the help of a Scorcher to assist in defending it (Not that anyone other than my friends and I pick it up), I like the changes to Sandbar and I am glad they kept the Hammer of Dawn on it.

You don't have to be on dedicated servers to have the new settings, you just have to have went back to the main (start) menu and re-downloaded the new settings.

The lobbies where you had old swaps were probably P2P lobbies in which the host hadn't downloaded the new settings yet.

Kinda bummed they swapped the hod for a torque though, but perhaps it will be better.

Mortar > Boomshot
Hammer of Dawn > Torque Bow

Sandbar:
Digger > Scorcher
Boomshot > Scorcher
Oneshot > Boomshot

Good changes, in Overpass maybe Sniper instead of torque? I think Sandbar is going to be excellent now.

Are you joking? It's easy to avoid the Mortar when up top, and only an idiot gets hit by the Hammer. These may not be the best changes, but it's definitely an improvement.

No I am not joking. Was way too easy to kill people with the Mortar and Hammer. I will try the map out but it's always going to be a rush to the top to win map, Though if my team as a mic they will be told otherwise.

Don't forget that normally one has to expose himself in order to use mortar or hammer. I think the changes are good.

You must be fortunate enough to get match up against to worst players around, then. People I play with pretty much never get caught by Hammer/Mortar up top. Every now and then I'll get a kill with them, but not that often because the Mortar is easy to avoid and the Hammer works better from high ground.
