Wait, so now how are you supposed to clear out campers on Overpass? Wasn't that why the Mortar was there?

But the hammer and mortar were really the only way to fight the people who had the high ground on overpass.... a boom shot and bow? i dunno about that...
Not at all a fan of the changes with the digger/boomshot on sandbar....
Sorry to complain so much guys! The game is still awesome, but i guess I'm just not so much into this change!

I'll give in my 2 cents on Overpass. It has the same original problem as the Beta version of Trenches. It was built for either older gamemodes, Horde, or Beast in mind. The problem with this is that you have map completely focused on the middle of the map, I can tell you that weapon swaps won't change the overall flow of the map. Gears of War 3 is more focused around map control over power weapons. Simply locking down the weapon area you defeat the power of the weapon because you don't have to pick it up, it's been eliminated.
Overpass has extreme high side advantage on both spawns and enough cover in the middle that a full team will lock people into their spawns before they can ever get close enough to a power weapon. Even with the use of smokes, strong teams with cross firing and other team fire will ensure that any power weapon will be limited to the ground level. Overpass doesn't need weapon swaps, Overpass needs to be overhauled. I would recommend creating a second top side entrance over an elevator or anything like that. Create 2 distinct pathways to get to the high side from the beginning of the match and then see how the map plays out. As of right now, the maps has more problems then solutions, and the design needs to be look at over the power weapon allocation.
