Anthony Carmine

I don't know how many people have unlocked Anthony, but he has the exact same quotes as Clayton. I don't know if this is considered an MP issue, so I didn't post it there...I just think it's kind of weird hearing him say "This one's for you Anthony" and "How'd you like to meet my brothers?" I wonder if it it's possible to just give him his Gears 1 quotes (?)

Yeah I hear those a lot too. If he's just an alternate skin for Clay I feel like he should be unlocked at a lower level.

They all have the same quotes because it's the same voice actor. But it does seem rather odd for Anthony to sound so vicious when he was more of a rookie kinda person.

That's the same thing my brother said. Oddly enough, Benjamin has different quotes than Anthony/Clayton, he acts all nervous and scared.

Yeah itt seems kinda pointless to make A. Carmine 75 if he says the same generic things that Clay says.

I agreed with you on that part, but still....I'm not trying to whine, it just kinda irks me more or less.

Also zephyr, I forgot to say a lot of the MP quotes are based on what kind of kill you're doing. Try some curb-stomps and meat-shielding and you'll hear a lot of new dialogue.

Why make him the last level-unlockable character and then mess up his quotes? Do they just not care, did they think we wouldn't notice? Pathetic really, he was one of the most popular characters in Gears 1, and seen a lot in Gears 2 as well.

A. Carmine wasn't entirely a rookie. He definitely was tough too. However I am weirded out being an A. Carmine fan hearing him with a deep, tough guy voice.

I would assume it's the latter. It could be a mistake though, especially since Ben has original quotes.

I know that if you play with Benjamin a while and jam your gun, he will say "something's wrong with this thing, it keeps jamming".
I have no idea if the others say this due to the fact that I have not played with them/unlocked.

They don't. Both of them say "****...it's jammed" and "C'mon....", amongst other things.

Yeah, i found it akward when he said "this one's for you Benjamin" he died before Ben... and i liked his visors better in gears 2 cuz they lit up.

I don't understand why any form of Carmine is the highest level character unlock. I would have much rather unlocked Hoffman at 75 and Anya at 50 and A. Carmine at 45.

*Ahem, rant incoming*.

At first, it was amusing to see that the first named character to die in the series was one of the most played characters online in GoW1. I even thought it was cool that they included him in the sequel as bonus content for playing the first game as well as gave an alternative skin in the form of B Carmine (with roleplay saying that it's his brother).

However, now the character(s) is(are) just stupid and exist as an overused joke. Half of the humor surrounding the characters feels forced and they transition in personality for no reason.

For Ex:

Clayton is a swoll, mostly intelligent bad ass one second. Then he transitions into a total retard with idiotic one-liners the next.

(Read: "HERP DERP DATS WHY I WEAR A HELMET HURR" or "OH YEA I'M ON FIRE MAN....OH S*** WE'RE GOING DOWN!!!").

I think that's called "adrenaline," it gets the best of us from time to time, lol.

The level in which he is unlocked is understandable somewhat, as you said, he's become one of the most beloved and played characters. It started out as a joke, but evolved into a somewhat developed character. The unlock level wouldn't be such a problem if it wasn't a re-skin of an existing character, when all the other re-skins are unlocked before you even hit level 50.

Woah, that's the whole charm with Carmine. They're always witty but know so much. Intelligent AND have a sense of humor? Now, come on. The "That's why I wear a helmet!", I thought it was an ironic one-liner that honestly made me laugh. Carmine's always have this charismatic trait to them and you can't deny it. That's why they're so beloved and popular.
