Punishment for leaving a game is to much

If you want to remove experience from me fine. I have no problem with that. I am upset that I lose my experience, but hey it seems like a fair trade. Although you counting all my deaths and none of my kills is complete bull****. I sometimes quit, because the game is lagging, because you cant keep your servers up, or because the entire enemy team is just camping and I get 15 deaths that count against me, but the 25 kills I got dont count. How is this fair?

I would rather go down an entire rank then have my stats be compromised. Honestly I like to look at my stats to see how I am doing, but when this happens there is no point because it isnt even accurate.

Or you could play quick match and quit whenever you want.

When you quit, you screw your whole team over by getting replaced by a bot that will proceed to get dry-humped by the opposing team. The penalty is not severe enough, IMO.

I have had quite a few laggy games the past couple of nights.....BUT I stuck it out, finished the game, THEN backed out and tried again with a different team.

I love the penalty. If you're the kind of person who quits, don't play ranked matches. Play quick matches, you can quit whenever you want. The system is designed to keep you from quitting, because quitting ruins the experience from others.

And I've played a good number of matches. And ya know what...if I have to pay a penalty every one match out of like 400 to prevent people from habitually quitting like they did in GoW2 then...so be it, I'm fine with it.

you don't know how many games i've left because the sos whore just wouldn't quit. (koth) even if were winnning doesn't matter i leave. i just annoys the living hell oout of me when several of there team is using it.

You can quit if you want to. You just must be aware of the penalty. So, if the SOS is so bad for you when you are obviously dominating the other team, then I say quit. Not so sure why you would quit when you're kicking ass but ummmm, well I guess it is your logic not mine.

If you really want to quit, just leave the controller until the end of the match and take a break (get a drink, smoke, bathroom)
I'm actually surprised an idle player on TDM is more useful than a bot.
Bots rush in and waste up to 3-4 lives. An idle player in spawn sort of holds on to that life.

I don't recommend everyone leave their controllers, but I'm saying in this rare situation where you really don't like the room but also don't want the penalties. However, you will also need to make sure you come back from the break in time or you will automatically join another room you didn't want to.

Yeah right....if you had 25 kills you wouldn't be quitting.... Adapt to your teams play style. Don't rush if your team is camping.

It has nothing to do with losses. I quit when the other team is camping and the game is just being dragged on much longer than it should.

I don't normally quit.. But lately.. I have.. Why? Because I keep getting spawn trapt.. My friends aren't the greatest at the game but we still try to have fun.. But honestly.. Gears is not meant to have overpowered assault rifles.. And when you put this in gears all your doing is causing a gigantic spawn trap..

I don't understand, in the BETA the assault rifles were fine. I thought they were perfect.. Only thing that needed fixed in the BETA was the SOS spread and the Retro lancer hip fire accuracy needed nerfed and the power of it needed nerfed a little. But we got the exact opposite.. Got to love that..

I say quit before it gets to bad. Screw this idea that people have that you're screwing your team by giving them a bot etc... You bought the game and have every right to play it the way you see fit. If you're not having fun, by no means should you be obligated to "stick" it out. That's just ridiculous... It's a GAME!

Epic will never get rid of the penalty as they have (as you can see) way to many try-hard supporters for it thinking it's right to force someone to stay in any match type and if they don't get shot for it... So just leave before it messes your stats up to badly.

No the penalty is perfect. The main reason why people would quit out in the second game was because of their K/D ratio. If they started off the game with a death they would quit... so this penalty serves them right. If you quit then you get all death no kills. Dont play ranked or dont quit out... its pretty simple.

You have to understand, people don't get that you could be a good player that gets teamed up with terrible players so you get schit on during that match as well. And when something like that happens, which is almost every round in Gears 2, you wonder just exactly how the matchmaking works?

I'm perfectly fine with the penalty because I don't care about my stats, or losing points or whatever, but it's the principle that penalizing a player over their broken system is asinine. But I can't speak for Gears 3 match making. Is it better than 2? As in, does it ACTUALLY do something?

Seeing as someone must willingly compromise their stats that has little to do with the game itself. You choose to quit, you choose to have that penalty, and like a little child you protest the consequences b/c they actually enforce the concept that staying in a match is more beneficial than quitting out. But hey, I'm not surprised you're like this. Afterall you do quit out like a little *****. Seeing as you're so comfortable with pussing out on a regular basis I suppose telling you to man up or l2play would be pointless. So instead of pursuing a pointless action I'll be frank and honest. You're a BK. These penalties are perfect as I don't want to play against people who quit out and as I understand it people who quit regularly will be matched up with people who quit regularly and if for any reason you begin to feel these penalties make the Ranked experience pointless for you it'll be a fine day when you stop playing it and people no longer have to play bots b/c you can't learn to take a loss or handle a few scrubs using SO's.

Honestly, when teams just use the sawed off, the team I'm with tends to roll the floor with them... In my opinion, it gimps the opposing team more than it helps them - because when they miss their shot (which most do with some simply bouncing/juking) they're useless until they can swap to an AR, or reload (More often than not dead at this time). Generally the best guy on their team in situations like this, is the ONE guy using the gnasher, because he's got all the cool kids running around him covering with sawed offs while he just picks people off with his 8 rounds.
