White out on second player screen/on split screen

I am experiencing a bright white flash on my screen in horde as i pick up weapons, ammo, or executions.. It happens on all maps so far. My mature settings are on. I am the second player on our local connection and does not happen to the first player signed in.

do you notice this every time you pick up ammo? Did it maybe start happening after you played a little while?

No not everytime but will happen on any horde match/map we play and seems very random. When it happens it will continue doing this for a few minutes and then will go back to normal. I thought i was inadvertently resetting some sort of setting but this is not the case.

Did it maybe start happening after you killed a Brumak or Gunker in Horde? I've seen this and that bright flash of light seems similar to the explosion when killing one of those enemies.

no sorry happens even on lower waves like 3 or 4. lol not a noob. i know when one of those enemies are on the wave. Besides, the player one screen never does this.

I had this happen to me last night as well. I was the second player on he Xbox and was playing a private match with 3 other people. During the fight with a lambant zerker, I took immulsion damage from one of his attacks. After that up until we quit, it happened durning executions, ammo and weapon pick ups. The screen flash looked just like I was taking immultion damage.

Wasn't implying you were a "noob." I was curious if that type of explosion effect is sticking with the second player for some reason. Did you happen to encounter lambent enemies before this issue happened?

Yes. I was the second player on split screen and we were in horde. It was the jump attack the lambent zerker does that leaves the emulsion puddle. I ran into it to revive a DBNO teammate. So I revived him whenever I had the bright yellow effect on my screen and might of still been in the emulsion puddle. After that, I had the same yellow emulsion damage effect during executions, weapon and ammo pickups. I can't remember if it happened during revives. It lasted all the way until we lost a round and quit to play another game mode.

mmmm-maybe it did after an explosion and just carried over to other waves/maps?

However, mine reminded me of a concussion grenade effect and not the yellow. Tyvm for looking into this- I love this game and want it to be the best

This was happening to my brother.

Every wave, only when picking up a new weapon.

Screen would flash white, like a flash bang had gone off - wasn't the worst of things, but just alerting you to it

I have been having the same experience during horde mode, mostly with yellow flash, but sometimes a brighter blinding white flash which was disorientating when picking up ammo in the middle of fire fights. My experience is very similar to as described by the original posters of this thread, I was 2nd player on split screen and it was not happening to the first split or others in multiplayer- only me. Both were happening to me yesterday too. This is why I came to the forums today to look into. So i gather now it is a glitch rather than an specific indicator.

I confirm we experienced the same issue for the player at the bottom of the screen after a lambent berserker exploded. Every time the second player tried to use the lancer saw. Everytime screen was getting white...very annoying!

I posted about this in my own thread as I hadn't realised this one existed, apologies.
The flash while chainsawing is the worst! It's especially frustrating as you've been held in place until the en of the animation and you likely need to dive out of the way instantly to avoid fire etc and you can see nothing!
