Disabled Material Editor Plugs
So I've noticed that in some of the later UDK builds, plugs such as opacity/opacitymask/distortion/etc have been greyed out when they were previously allowed. Why has this been done? Is there a way that I can get them back? And if so, how?
These are not disabled, a grey connector only indicates that with your current settings these inputs don't matter. For example, plugging a texture into opacity when your material is set to opaque will not have an effect. However if you change the material type to translucent the opacity map does effect the final material and the input will turn white to indicate this change.
So no functionality was removed, this change just helps to visualize which inputs matter when.
