Ticker Tuesday - Onyx Horde Question.

My friends & I were wondering, on Ticker Tuesday, If it's possible to set all 50 Waves to insane. So we can beat the Onyx medal? Serious Questions please.

I don't see why not. Tickers aren't ones to mess around tho man, if one gets past ya'll it's pretty much a guaranteed death or dbno for one of you.

im hoping to get it then too....if you play on insane there is no DBNO so have have to be more careful but it all depends on what comes out...if its just tickers maybe easier but if its them with other enemies with them its maybe alot tougher then u think.

might try for the onxy even though tickers are hardly any fun during horde.

If you can get on a map with boomshields (fortifications won't last that long) and keep your distance as much as you can, it's possible. Tickers in Gears 3 seem to deal a lot more damage than in Gears 2

You might also still have boss waves

will it be all tickers or just more than usual along with normal enemies? seems like it would be HARDER to beat insane horde during ticker tuesday if the latter was true.

Just because it's called Ticker Tuesday doesn't mean it'll be all tickers.

Would be alright if it was though. Would just sit on the beams in Drydock and let it play itself tbh.

probably still have boss rounds every 10 rounds might even be harder being flodded with tickers

My friends and I got talking about this during the GOW2 Ticker event...for wave ten / boss wave they need to have tickers coming at you like the flood from Halo....just spawn like 100 of them at a time. Tickers generally don't blow eachother up, just knock eachother around when they explode close to eachother. Running low on ammo, fortifications almost all destroyed and this flood of tickers just pours onto the map...sorry but that would be fun as hell. Ist ill say the ticker event would be more fun if each wave spawned all at once instead of groups of 3 to 5.

Incorrect. I've beaten Horde on Insane, and you can go DBNO. In fact, I don't think any of our team got insta-killed. Not even Berserkers kill you, they just insta-down you.

You should still be able to earn it. It's still completing 50 waves of Horde on Insane. I'll probably go for it then also.

I was thinking, couldn't you just Roadie Run around the map for the whole 50 waves? By the time they explode you're out of their blast radius.

This will be difficult to get not to mention the explosive tickers will destroy whatever fortification almost instantly if it blows up near it then all the tickers will rush in then............(sad face)

During my 1-50 insane run, tickers gave me the most trouble, followed by aimbot boltoks.

there is no way in hell I want to see 50 levels of tickers. by the end of each round you will have NO fortifications left...forgett about the silverback lasting more than 2 seconds. think your good enough to stop a dozen tickers screaming mad bee line for you. These are not gears 2 tickers where hitting one will detonate them all. you got to kill each one as the come screaming in juking and jigging and doging your incoming fire.
think about it..dozens and dozens of tickers decending on you in waves. Tickers so thick that they will blot out the sun!

hahha..yeah i tried it on insane and had a hard time getting out of level 3. then tried it with some friends had a hard time getting past 10 it truel is insane.

with the mutators on and 4 friends who are actually good at the game I knocked out Horde on insane in 45 minutes. I thought it would take forever so I lost all hope until ticker tuesday but mutators = teh wins.

Insane horde is a joke with Super reload on.

Just need to watch out for Snipers and Boltoks really.

They're up top. If you're looking from one end to the other its to the left and right of the center walkway, just jump over on the sides,

Haven't tested it but how effective is the boomshield against tickers in gears 3? Thats all you had to do in gears 2 to afk horde. I know there's a free on on over pass that would be ideal, just don't know if it would protect you this time around.
