In a 1v1 sure. When you're facing two or three of them, no it's not. When you're facing one who has lancer backup because no it's not. I can't force my team to run the CORRECT direction (aka towards GOOD power weapons) they'll do what they want. I have a positive k/d ratio (not that it means ****) with the gnasher. I think it's sad I can go 10/2 spamming my lancer/HB from the first piece of cover after spawn in half in the maps as well. I miss gnasher fights.

I play like a chicken most of the time. Im so tired of wall bouncing and aiming my gnasher just to have a guy wip out a SOS and say "mines bigger". SO i adapted. I sit behind all my teamates and lancer spray. I havent had a shotty battle in days because of the SOS. My K/D is a 4.0 because this is all i do. I sit back and lancer one or two guys to death and when my teamates die i run around the map like a chicken with no head untill my meatshields.... I mean teamates respawn so i can repeat this.

I actually did this same exact thing last night after playing some BF3 beta. My k/d ratio also went up substantially. It disheartened me to be quite honest. Spraying the lancer/HB/retro lancer require no more skill than hammering RT with your DBS out. The skill came from wallbouncing gnasher fights. Noobs think (have always thought) you were just firing random shots, but you're not. They didn't want to adapt, so EPIC did it for them, unfortunately.

I just was looking at the horde leaderboards, my rank for Old town is 1337. Guess im pro at gears now.
