Whats Your K/D Ratio In Real Life??

Mine is 0.0 and I am proud of it. I don't understand why we as gears fans take so much pride in our K/D ratio in the game. Why do we need a good K/D in Gears 3? Is it to make us feel of some value or worth? I care about my K/D, but on the same hand I ask myself why do I care? And I do not have an answer Its just a virtual number. Could it be that we are form the generation of instant gratification, and also the fact that we have been tough that a higher number is better. When I do bad a match I get upset feel worthless about myself, and get discouraged from playing the game.

My KDR is 0/10

frickin' bad. I keep getting killed by this guy named AIDS. Then I had this one noob named Birth Defect and he spawn killed me! like wtf!

I think the things about the k/d ratio is that it is a motivator. So people use it as a personal thing I guess either per match, like myself or for all their matches combined.

3.0 I found out 3 kids in my school camp with DBS and SERIOUSLY thought they were good

You're thinking too deep about it. K/D is a good evaluation on how many times you get kills vs. how many times you die. If your K/D is even or under 1.0 (in any MP shooter) you probably are helping your team more by calling out positions from the death cam.

K/D isn't the end-all to evaluating skill. However, in game-types like Execution, Warzone, and Team Deathmatch, K/D is a great evaluation system (for example, would you play on a TDM team with a guy who has a 0.5 K/D or a 1.5 K/D, which is more likely to hurt your team's respawn pool?).

I always tell players that your k/d doesn't show how good you are(bots or noobs are involved too).

It's who you are going up against(experience) now that counts(who's behind that controller).
