Azura, Rust lung an blood drive are all on disk? Are we going to have to pay for them

Now there seems to be a little confusion about this. I've heard people say these maps aren't ready and thats why we haven't been able to play them. I can tell you now with a quick search through youtube i've found multiple videos showing these maps being played in the retail version of the game a long with new characters. This is done through modding and i don't support it however this does show that content is being locked on the disk and as customer we will probably be expected to pay for the DLC.

Again same guy, different map. This map is azura it again shows characters that aren't currently playable including big rig ziddy and bernie!.


I have found footage of rust lung, however i didn't think it would be fair to include due to the date of the video being before the release of the game. The other videos are all a retail copy of the game with content simply being locked on the disk.


So after all this, is it right that we should pay for this? I'm all up for buying DLC, however it seems that this isn't DLC infact its already in the game.

They can leave it ready on the disc, or we can download it all and sit waiting for a little bar to move across the screen.

We will pay the same either way, so I vote we pay the same price and can play it pretty much instantly.

Yup, this. I could see this being a bigger deal if the game shipped with like three maps. As it stands the game came with full campaign, new and improved horde mode, the all-new beast mode, refined multiplayer with dedicated servers, stat tracking across all modes, more multiplayer characters than ever before, etc. That's more than worth $60 considering Gears 1 shipped with campaign and two very similar multiplayer modes with no matchmaking. So yeah, in this case I have no problem paying for DLC already on the disc.

I have no problem paying for DLC for my favourite game, however i feel as if im being played/ cheated knowing that this content is sitting infront of me right now and for some reason i'm going to have to buy it in the future.

Made even worse by the fact that you do have to wait for it when it's right there. I mean what's up with waiting to buy something that's already on the disc?

It doesnt make sense putting it on the disc if its DLC.
It uses up space on the disc. I know some of you say itll save time but who gives a monkeys about that, a few minutes waiting on a download has never ever been a problem for us before. Downloadable Content isnt Disc Locked Content!! Its called DLC because we dont have it so we have to DOWNLOAD it!

It would be a bad marketing strategy to have it on disc, just look at the complaints already.

Has anyone discussed the possibility that this content will unlock during one of the Events for FREE! And DLC will be something different?
