The story needed at least one more death in my opinion..

More people died in this game then in Gears 2 and 1.

Gears 1: Raam, Kim and Anthony

Gears 2: Tai, Skorge, Benjamin, and Maria

Overall I was satisfied with the amount of deaths, I still did think that another main character like Baird or Jace would of died.

I think there were more than enough deaths in the campaign, though. Also glad Carmine lived.

Prescott, Dom, Myrrah, Michealson, Adam, thousands of COG Soldiers, millions of Stranded/Innocents, A similar amount of Locust and Lambent. And Clayton almost died. There's many more people that died, you just didn't see it. I felt like crying when Dom died.

Basically this, but I doubt the deaths of Gears, Civvies and Stranded were that high. Not enough left to provide that many deaths throughout Gears 3. But yes, a lot probably died.
