Default Do not dashboard from quickmatch!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out the hard way that you cant dashboard from a quick match. If you do not back out of the game you will lose all of your progress. So if you were in the game for over an hour, that hour of your life will have been wasted and gone. I went from an 8 to a 14 back to an 8 in 1 hour and I was about 10 seconds away from breaking the disc. What if the power goes out????? This needs to be fixed. When I'm done playing I like to just dashboard out, not wait for the next game to load to get the option to quit. That's Shenanigans!!!! Hardcore! Please and thank you!

While I don't completely agree with your opinion (I'd never snap my Gears disc, even if I just lost all my level progress), I still respect it. This sould see an address from Epic.

With cloud and data being stored online over the past few years with internet computing that is going on. I though all games and gears 3 stats would be kept online now like, MSN messenger contacts, Xbox Gamertag info and data, hotmail etc. Im pretty sure that was problems people reported from gears 2 and Im sure there is possbile problems starting the game without profile being sign in then signing in once game is already launched. Had problem with rank resets in gears 1 and 2 and some other like bad company 2, & brink. You quit out to dash board and load profile, doesnt matter if online or offline and then start game. If your lucky you have not lost your ranks and

I'm sorry for your loses. Returning to main menu saves everything.

Ouch. There you have it. There is a point to be had in there tho. Say im playing standard horde with five and we do a 1-50 run in a single sitting. We get to wave 49 and then my power goes out(to use the op's idea) ... none of that progress is saved? How about this... say we do the same however the host disconnects and migration fails to work... same result?

Not with the host disconnect because it still sends you to main menu, as far as I understand.

This is not a bug. The game does not get notified of you going to dash so it has no chance to save any progress since the last time it saved. Note the dialog box says "You will lose any unsaved progress."

No, the OP is wrong. In Horde it saves each round.

So pretty much I'm supposed to back out every once in a while for the game to save in case anything happens with my power or Internet? That's just silly. It should save between each match, not between each time you go to the main menu. Just sayin

It should save between matches. If i'm playing in the same room for over an hour and I dashboard at the end instead of backing out to the menus first, it should save everything up to the last game. Not bring me
back to where I was before I found a room. That's just retarded. What if you were playing for 2 hours in the same room and someone in the house reset the modem? That would be 2 hours of your life wasted.

I had a similar situation. Me and my brother just finished a match, and it comes up with the leader board after you leave the game - he signs out.

I press start to head back to the menu and i've lost my level, all medals etc 42 levels gone
Very annoying, but i've been told to contact xbox support (listed as epic's support) and hopefully will get this sorted.

I guess that's a warning too. When playing split-screen be careful to only log out at the first main menu, just to avoid this.
