Is there a quick way to mute?

Title says it all; is there a easier way to mute players in game without having to go find and open their gamer card?

When in the game lobby, hit the (X) button to bring up "players/friends" and then hit the start button to mute all of the people who are NOT your friends or in your Xbox Live party chat. Or you can highlight a specific player and hit the back button to mute them individually.

How do you mute people once in a game already? Wasn't this an issue people had in the beta? You should be able to push select during a game, highlight a name, and hit a button to mute them. Please nobody say I have to go through the dashboard...

I was wondering the same thing. I had some guys rambling on in spanish the other night. totally fine, they have just as much right to speak their language as I do mine, but it was distracting as hell. I wanted to mute them but couldnt figure out how lol
