Gold Weapons not unlocking?

Since there is an event this week, saying we can get the 2 weapons. Why haven't they unlocked for me?

It may be borked and that might be why it's set as a launch week, at least they have a few days before it's over to get all those issues ironed out. Worse case scenario I suspect Epic could always extend it if they wanted to.

I don't understand why everyone thinks they are just going to unlock as soon as they play. I immediately thought that they would unlock after the event is over, i.e. the 26th.
