Sawed off shotgun has COMPLETELY RUINED WIGMAN

No, this is not a "OMG SAWED OFF IS SO OVERPOWERED THREAD". Sawed off is pretty balanced now, but it's the actual PLAYERS who are making the mode boring.

Sawed off has seriously ruined wigman, it slows the mode down drastically and everyone just camps with it. So basically, The sawed off is the new grenades for Gears 3.

Wingman is no longer a fast-paced killfest that required skill and teamwork like it did in Gears 2. Now, it's all about who can camp the best, and it's seriously just makes wingman boring mode now, and if this keeps up, I'm pretty sure no one but noobs will play it.

I really wish Epic includes a Classic variation of all the modes, with no Sawed off, and do whatever you guys want with the rest of the weapons.

Please Epic. Wingman was my favorite versus mode in any game I've ever played before, but now it's just swarming with camping cod noobs.

The Sawed Off can be pretty annoying. Especially when it takes you down in Execution.

The most annoying this is that they just charge at you and one shot you.

I'm not saying the sawed off is annoying in wingman, just saying that it makes the mode EXTREMELY boring and slow.

Like most modes. People are scared to move up because they'll get blasted into a million little pieces.

I was tempted to just troll you, but instead I'll point out that you are not restricted to moving towards them in a straight line. If they are really camping that much, than they surely can't be going after power weapons, which you can use to flush them out like rats.

Now, I played Wingman all night after the midnight launch, and in my experience, not many people used the SO. And if they did, big deal. Boomshot speaks all languages of rape, including making soup of SO users. Adapt and overcome, my friend.

They camp at all the power weapons, especially on Hotel. It has nothing to do with adapting, I'm not saying the sawed off is overpowered in any way. It's just making the mode boring and slow.

So what I'm supposed to adapt to it's boringness?

Lol Gears 2 was a broken gnasher rush, thats why it was so fast paced. Even if the game didnt have the sawed off it would still be slower because the rifles now dominate as well.

I have not had any issues with the DBS. I have had good success against it with my Gnasher. You just have to quick on the take and identify who has one relatively qiuickly.

All you have to do is keep rolling backwards and shooting simultaneously when you roll. They'll back off once you roll back away from them, and they're not smart enough to pull out their AR or pistol, so you should get two shots on them before they switch weapons.

Shoot/roll backwards then popshot. that's all you have to do.

if it's CQC though and they're camping behind cover in a corner, just wallbounce and pray they miss you with the first shot. Oh and if you miss, don't chase them lol.

Just a quick note about Introducing new playlists; expanding on the playlists causes huge problems with players from more remote locations. Hell, I'm from Australia, which is no "Remote Location", but even a day after launch we have half of the playlists empty, and only a few hours ago I managed to find one game of Beast. I still have yet to play CTL, KoTH, Execution and Warzone, mostly due to low player counts. I understand that I should wait until the weekend for it to pick up however.

Sorry for the off topic though, just stating my position and there was no reason to start a whole new thread...

I am a HUGE wingman buff and I was looking forward to trying to run the table in social ("quick match") wingman in Gears 3. But after playing MAYBE 10 games of it, I've decided that I can't do it. It's unplayable.

Sawed-off has destroyed it. I viewed Wingman as the only real haven for gnasher gameplay in Gears 2 because the way the game worked almost forced teams to use the gnasher most of the time: execution rules in addition to the fact that if you lancered people down from far away, other teams would snag your kills. Now, you try to use the gnasher in Wingman and you've got six other guys in the game shoving their sawed off barrels in every side of your body, or sitting on corners waiting for teams who are playing the mode right to run by.

It's horrible. Absolutely unacceptable letdown.

Thank you. Someone who gets it. They should definately make sawed off pickup weapons. I'm sick and tired of people supporting the gun and that I need to adapt even though the damn thing is making the game boring. I'm NOT complaining about dying from it, I rarely do. But I'm sick and TIRED of people just hiding with it the whole match. I'm just asking for the intensity of Gears 2 wingman to come back.
