I'm not even a Dom fan and i was welling up. It was handled beautifully, he deserved to live after all he'd been through but at least he's with Maria and the kids now.

Literally just finished that chapter before the group took a three hour "life" break. They give a couple of hits of it going down at the memorial when he takes off his COG tags. But damn, it was sad.

I just thought about the girl I love when he started talking to Maria going down the tunnel, and what I would do if I lost her, I would feel just like Dom, I felt his pain of losing someone he loves, then watching his selfless sacrifice for the ones he loves, so sad.

This was the best scene in the entire series, they used the perfect instrumental for it too. The voice acting, the face animations seemed so natural that you could feel what they were feeling. For someone that has lost their brother this scene really got to me emotionally. Brothers to the End was the perfect tagline for this game.

I've played through it two times already. First time I was stunned and had to stop playing and let it sink in. Second time I welled up like you wouldn't believe the moment the cutscene began.

I nearly lost it when I saw Marcus' eyes and when he just muttered "Dom."

There's the initial explosion, then Marcus tries to go get him, and there's another explosion.. that really has an element of "he's gone, there's nothing you can do, no really, see, he's even more gone now!"

It felt a little 'forced' and so yeah, I had this thought that maybe he might show back up later as having survived and captured by the Locust. Really make you feel he was gone for sure and then reveal he wasn't...

I really felt that someone was going to die.

Dom was the most logical...

Marcus would have been the most tragic...
