Depends on how the hand off happens. It's such a big franchise now and an Xbox exclusive I can't see MS letting it get away.

The exclusivity deal ends with gears 3 I think, so the next gears might be on all platforms.

Ahh I had no idea. I'd be surprised though if MS didn't eat this one up again. Big name exclusives are becoming more and more rare and think about what Epic, or another talented developer, could do with Gears and the Unreal Engine 4.0 on the next Xbox.

Gears isn't as big as Halo (for good reason

) but look at what MS did for Halo. 343i is now over 200 people deep now solely working on Halo 4.

No kidding. Honestly, CTF has been mentioned before but I'm almost positive there is statement out there from Cliff saying that Gears characters shouldn't hold flags.

That said, I can guarantee Epic had no idea that a REAL capture the flag game type would be so overwhelmingly popular with its hardcore fans.

I think I remember hearing that too...

Maybe they feel the Flag isn't Gears enough? They could do it like it is in Halo versus other games. In most game the flag is just on your back and you can shoot but in Halo you hold it in your hands and you can melee with it. I feel that would work very well in Gears.

Hopefully they are open to change though, this is definitely my #1 most wanted game type in Gears.

I actually am eagerly awaiting guardian, i'm getting bored of tdm, execution, playing KOTH is good but you can't play it 24/7.

Epic make this happen, i'll easily and happilly pay 1200 points.

Many of us have said that simply releasing CTF with a few remade classic maps would be worth 800 or even 1200 points. Bring it on Epic!

LOL, don't you worry because this has almost definately caught Epics attention, 1200 points for a totally new game mode, old school maps would be great for me after dlc 4.

Yeah most definitely, TDM was brought here and look at the numbers, everyone knows CTF, if you've played shooters for a while you will know this mode is extremely popular in shooters.

Lol what? So you don't want gears to have flags but have pink guns? You know the bottom line is that CTF is extremely popular and a lot of people here would play it, let alone the "casuals", they will buy new DLC whenever it comes out. Submission was a fail, that's why it wasn't put In gears 3.

I would play this for sure. I've always been a fan of objective type game modes mostly because of the strategy that's involved with them. Gears would be the perfect game for this.
