That model is from way back when the whole project was starting , we alredy reemplased that weapon with a proper model as well textures
I guess the custom light class may have something to do with it but I can't find that WIP thread either... So could you please explain what settings your dominant directional light uses? Also do any of your light class changes/light functions improve performance? If so I would be VERY interested in seeing them as well. ^^
When i was developing the day and night cycle ( as well part of the terrain ) i had opened a tread to get main advice you can check about it here

its the same as a dominant directional light except it has its own movement, and gets the sky material and changes various parameters based in time etc to simulate the whole day and night effect

Yup!, we recently got an concept artist and a Character modeller , after the character is done and properly rigged to the UDK Skeleton we will finally be able to record most of the features
since most of the core gameplay is done aka ( you can build structures,weapons degrade,crafting is done,player needs alredy work etc etc) we are mainly polishing what we have so its presentable

also the concept of one of our First characters ( we are aiming for 4 characters in the campaign 3 male , 1 female , each character has its own skilltree)

Please note that you can log all the trees/palms ingame, which is a huge effort on the development
side to make that possible. You can cut a tree on the bottom trunk and it will fall over properly.

The Island is huge, but we still need to fill most parts, theres a lot of work to do.

Player Needs,Structure/Building system, Specializations, Wound System just to name a few of everything we got done so far
While i can see a similtude since both games are set in an island theres no way it could be tough that " there are no differences if it had zombies instead"
Survivor is Esentially a Survival game, not a zombie slaher or similar

Thanks! Pretty much all of it has come from one of our main modellers (Vaggelis ) he has a lot of experience with it since he worked in iron Front:liberation

hello alvarofer0021, your work looks beyond excellent at the moment, i cant wait until its released or even a demo version, i used to play Stranded 2, and it was a great survival game but not a lot of things to do, then i started on minecraft but that got boring over the course of a year, but then i came across this forum, and i have been folowing your progress for the last 3 months, everything is looking great, just a few questions if you dont mind. is there going to be like Dangerous and non-dangerous animals and creatures and things like showed in stranded 2, or is it just all standed animals that are non-dangerous. also cant realy be bothered to read back thru the hole forum lol, but is it goign to be designed as a downloadable game or a in browser game?? and will it be set to have multiplayer aswell?

Its going to be a full game released trough steam and gamersgate ( implying we get trough greenlight )
Multiplayer is included with competitive gamemodes and Co-Op, there are dangerous and non dangerous animals, theres also an cannibal and non cannibal tribe, WW2 left overs, and a " Entity " that haunts the island and Thanks!
is there going to be a bit of ingame footage to show us what its gonna look like?? id love to see how it is ingame, if ur able to do so atm, and one more thing, i seen the island map, will it be set like 1 island??/ or 1 island then do certain things then travel to next place, E.g like in stranded 2, or will it be a huge map with multiple islands and free roam??

Just registered to tell you how much I am in love with this game concept and what I have seen so far. It is, in my opinion, the best WIP based on the UDK coming from an amateur studio. Never give up please, I would love to play this little gem once it gets ready. Also, do not rush it, polish it as much as you can and do not disappoint.
I really thought about investing into your project, money-wise or with my skills (I am a WebDesigner, UI/UX-Designer & Graphic Designer), in case you need anything

Frankzta: It will be only 1 massive island with lots of special places and content to discover ( for the singlpelayer campaign ) In multiplayer there will be various islands for you to choose
And Yes i know people are excited about seeing some gameplay footage : p, But our character model isnt finished and it wouldnt be wise to show gameplay with the stock UDK iron guard
But its going fairly well alredy so it wont be long till we show our gameplay!

Sorry to be that curious but this game is one of these I am dying to play
Things are moving pretty well, i finished our system & particle system , system for melee , we got our meta character frame working, drag n Drop functionality is finally finished and pretty much the core gameplay is done we are just waiting till Alex has finished our first character so we can rig him and showcase our features!
and about our plans well, after we hit Alpha 1, we go into massive internal testing + some extra people, after its done we submit to greenlight and at the same time start selling alredy trough desura & gamersgate
Gamersgate CEO contacted us a long time ago about selling survivor so yeah
and as time goes we update our alpha with more, bigger and new features

We could also really use someone capable of animating + rigging.

Hey Frankzta things are coming along well, our character is finally modelled we ar ein the process of UV-Mapping,Rigging and texturing him so we can begin recording our main features!

Hey, I usually only read the comments and never say anything but its been around 6 months since someone commented and you guys didnt even reply! Any updates? I've been following you guys for atleast a year checking up on you guys fewer and fewer times only to see no updates! Is it out and ready to buy or something? updates updates updates!
There have been some issues internally with the team and im thinking in looking for other projects since from my point of view and honestly speaking with the current team the team just wont be made for a variety of reasons
