    Default Operation Hammerhead

    Since the thread was deleted after the forums has been hacked I decided to create another one... 2 month later.

    Story and Setting:

    A city once know for it's beauty and technological innovation is now controlled by the Locust just like every other city on planet Sera. Delta Squad is sent there to find if there is anyone alive there as well as to activate the defense system to regain control of the city. Experience 30 minutes of varied and intense encounters.

    Note: The level was originally called The Sleeping city in the beta phase.

    Changes from the Beta:

    -Better lightning
    -The level is now fully meshed
    -Removes bugs and improves balancing
    -Fixes AI and Checkpoints bugs

    Ah, jack's old maps, plays good.

    Some modders goes way and no interest in Gears, but others like you and Bob, JUGGER etc still stay, that's the best thing...

    So I decided to remake the map( read my blog to know why) .So I would like to know which encounters did you like and which weren't so good ?

    Remake again ?No~ make maps for Horde 2.0 and Beast mod is the best.....

    Beast Mode is put to dust so it's best not to do that. Once Horde 2.0 is done I'm sure you could happily port your maps to that though, or you can continue to work on your project

    I'm currently working on a second SP map other than the remake. The map features very open and wide encounters that are going to be great for Horde 2.0 . After I release the second SP level I'll port the encounters to Horde 2.0 and then work on the remake.

    NO IT'S NOT! I'm going to release a new map! And maybe after my mod, I will release Beast Mode on all the popular Gears 1 maps people like. Like, Gridlock, Clocktower, Canals, etc.

    No offense man but
    I say let him do the work if he wants, as long as he do not blame the team if it is ruined, etc. and everyone happy.

    If he already made the map, let him release it, if it is cooked, better. The other 2 maps had errors with cooking, like invisible objects, perhaps the object/material upk was not on unpublished folder when cooked, or the ones on published were the ones opened and the upk in unpublished was ignored. So more maps are welcome.

    Yes, but it's not his decision whether work on Beast Mode continues or not.

    Bob is right, veteran is free to port more maps to beast mode. Also CowboyLocust is correct, the beast mode team is totally done with beast mode, hehehehe. So for future advancements and whatnot, that's not really gonna happen from us. But if veteran wants to go ahead or anyone else, they are free to experiment with it as long as we get credit for our stuff, that's all we really want.

    And who knows what could happen from there, let's face it, we need all the maps and mods as we can get..... also I'm free tomorrow and the day after, my final secret mod shall be worked on!

    Probably just around the alpha base code. Although I *MIGHT* organise the kismet to make it easier for mappers to work with. Might add little improvements here and there, we'll see what happens.

    I found it damn easy to port maps, but you need alot of pathnodes, and a editor that can cook maps without crashing.

    Hello.
    I just tried to play your mod but I'm running into a fatal flaw..not sure why it's happening.
    I install the mod properly, I boot up GOW, I open console and type "open complete" (minus the "") and it loads. It wants me to pick a difficulty, so I picked Hardcore.. then it just sat there, so I kept mashing in Hardcore..nothing, so I hit the ESC key, and then I get a Run-time error.
    Any idea as to why?
    Thanks in advance.. I'm very interesting to play this mod myself!
